My Favorite Martian Cat #TVTripCaturday

WAFFLES:  Nee-ner, nee-ner, nee-ner. Hello earthling cats.  hehe!  Boss, did you know I can speak Martian?

KATIE:  Well that ought to come in handy, what with all the martians living around here. So Waffles, I assume you know how to say chicken in this foreign language of yours?

WAFFLES:  *gasp!* Oh my cod, Boss! I forget. I better go look it up in my Martian manual. It's back in my spaceship. In the glovebox.

KATIE:  Better hurry up, Waffles. Looks like you're in a no parking zone...

WAFFLES:  Coming, Boss!  Nee-ner, Nee-ner!

KATIE:  Did you leave your spaceship unlocked, Waffles?  And the key in the ignition?

MIKAN (in spaceship):  INFINITY AND BEYOND!!!

WAFFLES:  Nee-ner?

Today's Cameo Cat
Today's Cameo Cat is Mikan, (pronounced Mee-Khan). He's an 11 year old gentleman who came to Paws after his owners had to give him up because they were moving.

Mikan would be perfect for a senior looking for a senior. He doesn't get along with other cats and has never been around children or dogs. He's very independent so he doesn't need someone chasing him around. He can be very affectionate and will to you for attention when he wants it. He can be quite playful, but when he's napping, he doesn't really like to be disturbed.

Mikan is neutered, current on all his vaccinations, micro-chipped, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. He's available for adoption at PAWS.

TV Trip Saturdays with the Shelter Cats!
Every Saturday we feature adoptable cats from PAWS Pet Animal Welfare Society in Norwalk, CT. in our #TVTripCaturday blog series. Through the magic of Photoshop, they join Waffles and Katie for some time-travel adventures to some of our favorite, classic shows.

We'll also introduce you to the 'Cameo Cats' and share a little bit about them. Maybe, just maybe... our crazy antics will help our shelter friends find forever homes.

Special thanks to Maggie Swanson, the talented photographer behind our cameo cats and a devoted volunteer at PAWS. Maggie is the author of the blog, Sundays at the Shelter, where she features adoptable cats from PAWS each and every week. Her beautiful photos have helped countless cats find loving homes.

  2. We don't know that show, but we're impressed by your skills in Martian, Waffles. We're just surprised that you don't know yet how to translate "chicken" in Martian : aren't "chicken" and "litter box" the very first words to learn ? Purrs

  7. We believe the Martian word for chicken is poiyo. Think we we got a source for a slightly used rocket ship from NASA they don't need. Will get back to you Waffles. Purrs Greyson, Mr. Chivers, Tabitha, and Chloe.

  10. Hello
I love the animation you add to the photos. Are you a graphic designer or is there a way non-artistic people such as myself can do the same think? Appreciate your response

    1. Hi Sam!
Thank you so much for the compliment! ...yes, Glogirly is a graphic designer, but there are many programs out there that anyone can use to add illustrations and clip art onto their photos. We use Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator. Photoshop Elements is a great program for beginners and we've heard good things about PicMonkey too... though we've never used it.
      Thanks for your comment!
