As of midnight last night, 19 cats auditioned for The Real Housecats Of The Blogosphere! Glogirly and I have had a blast pouring over your most intimate details and photos. We even decided to expand the primary cast to 10 cats! Can you believe it!?

But just like American Idol...

Just like Britain's Got Talent...

We're going to leaving you hanging on the cliff.

The decisions have already been made and shooting has begun in an undisclosed location. Can you bribe us? Well, maybe.

I hear helicopters overhead.

I swear, the pawparazzi will try anything.

The cast is keeping a low profile in the shadows.

Soon though, their identities will be revealed.

And yes, those silhouettes aren't just kitty clip art.

Those are the REAL cats.

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Today's number is FOURTEEN. That's how many entries we've received so far for The Real Housecats Of The Blogosphere!!! Glogirly and I spent the weekend pouring over the photos and bios. The competition is fierce.

Casting Call

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Well YOU spoke. And WE are listening.

Last week we asked for your ideas on my next big project. Reality TV was on virtually everyone's mind. So, THE REAL HOUSECATS OF THE BLOGOSPHERE it is!

I am but one housecat in this big, big world we call the blogosphere. So here's where YOU come in. I need FIVE fellow housecat cast members. All Mancats and Girlcats are welcome to apply.

If you're interested in auditioning, I need just 3 things from you.

1. PHOTOS

Not just your ordinary snapshots. According to my Director of Production, we need high resolution photographs. That means you need to tell your humans to make sure the settings in their cameras are set to "extra fine." They also need to hold their cameras very still when they shoot so you are sharp and in focus. Ok, we know you're sharp already, but we need FOCUS. We'll take as many photos as you'd like to send, but at minimum we need:

A. Headshot

B. Full Body shot

C. Arm shot

Photo Hint: It's very helpful if there is contrast between you and your background. We need to "cut out" your silhouette to place it in a variety of other backgrounds and scenes. For example: A black cat with alot of black in the background doesn't work very well. A black cat on a light background is purrfect.

2. QUESTIONNAIRE

Those of you that have been following me for awhile now understand and appreciate my... "personality." I'm not one to sugar coat things. I suppose you might even call me cynical. Sarcastic. Sharp-tongued. Well, shake that up with a little Reality TV and you better be prepared for what gets poured out. We're going to sensationalize your stories. There may be a little exaggeration. But mostly, we just need permission to publish your photos. ; )

SUBMISSIONS

Please send your photos and questionnaire answers via email. Our email address is located inside our profile, in the upper right sidebar. Feel free to ask any technical questions you have regarding the photos as well. Photography and Photoshop experts are standing by. All submissions are due by FEBRUARY 28.

No matter how many cats audition, we promise to use ALL cats in some way. The selection of the five final cast members will be based on their photos and questionnaire.

Now What

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Now that I've completed my NINTH movie, dined on my celebratory freeze dried salmon, napped, groomed, napped, nibbled some more....well....now what?

Glogirly's a tad under the weather so SHE's been no help. She's just laying around watching repeats of Desperate Housewives on the Lifetime channel. And that is wrong from SO many angles. Looks like I'm going to have to come up with my own fun, my next big thing.

WOW! Thank you SO much for all of your wonderful comments on my Kitty Vogue video! It was super fun to make and we're still striking poses and singing along here at the townhouse.

We asked you what your favorite part was and you answered!

The hands-down fave was my 'bumping and grinding' scene.

I bet you didn't know my g-string is LEATHER.

The bongos came in at a close 2nd.

But no one mentioned noticing a riddle we hid in the credits. I think Daisy the Curly Cat was onto something because she noticed Mancat No. 1's name was Quinn. Sorry Daisy, but it's not Quinn as in Harley Quinn.

Nothing But Glamour

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Glogirly and I are still filming my VOGUE music video. I think it's safe to say that we've got the halftime show at next year's superbowl covered. This material kitty has got moves even Madonna has not attempted.

And how about that photo with Marilyn!? I'm quite the time traveler cat. Wait until you see how I moved in on Joe DiMaggio. Marilyn is still not speaking to me.

I continue to be challenged by the quality of available mancat dancers. No. 6 is doing better. But the extras and alternates...wow. How many times can I tell them to strike a pose???

The production should be finished sometime this week. Don't worry, you'll be the FIRST to know!

I'm still auditioning my mancat dance troupe. Some of them are having trouble with the stairs on my video set. One in particular has two left feet.

What's Next?

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Thanks to YOU, the bestest friends in the blogosphere, my popularity is soaring both in the film and music industries. My most recent project, Katie Le Chat Goes To Paris, had me on location in everyone's favorite French city. I even danced the cat-cat at Moulin Rouge! As you know, it's pretty expensive there. I went through so much salmon I eventually had to come home.

So what's next? Well as much as I loved playing the accordion on the streets of Paris, my heart really purrs for pop from the 70's, 80's and the first few months of 1990.

Filming concluded over the weekend and I was able to teleport home just in time for my Superbowl nap. When I awoke, the milk and champagne were flowing in celebration of my first foreign-language film, Katie Le Chat Goes To Paris.

PARIS On Location

I'm on location all week, filming my first foreign film, Katie Le Chat Goes To Paris. TMZ has been calling, The Enquirer has been enquiring, the pawparazzi has been fierce I tell you.

I'm giving YOU an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse at all the glamour and fanfare.

What would Paris be without it's famous landmarks?

You can't even see the whole thing, but you KNOW where I am!

If only it were July.

Parlay Voo

Bon jour everyone, Katie here.

There's a very special French language school here in Minneapolis. It's called Alliance Francaise. They are trying to freshen up their image and add life to their internet presence. Guess who they've asked to make a MOVIE for their website?

that's French for me

Apparently my Killer Queen and Bohemian Catsody videos impressed their creative consultant so much that he asked ME to star in a one-minute short on their website. Glogirly is producing the movie. It's called Katie le Chat goes to Paris. Le Chat is French for The Cat.

Glogirly says the French role is right up my alley. I'm sophisticated, fashionable and I have attitude. I'm not sure I liked the way she said, "attitude," though.

Here's me with all my luggage for Paris.

Don't worry, I'm bringing plenty of Salmon.

So anyway, Glogirly doesn't speak French and neither do I. But I'm working on it. I'm hoping I have some French blogging friends out there that can tell me how to say "meow" in French.
