More than Monday

WAFFLES:  What are you doing up there, Boss? Did Glogirly forget to put away some food?

KATIE:  No, Waffles. I'm just thinking about what today means.

WAFFLES:  It's Monday, Boss. That means....well, it's Monday. And tomorrow is Tuesday–

KATIE:  It's Memorial Day, Waffles.

WAFFLES:  So it's not Monday?

KATIE:  Well technically it is Monday. But it's also Memorial Day.

WAFFLES:  Oh, you mean like parties and barbecues and FRIED CHICKEN Memorial Day! Too bad we're not supposed to have parties and stuff on account of the corona-thing.

KATIE:  Memorial Day is much more than barbecues and fried chicken, Waffles.

WAFFLES:  More than fried chicken? Are you sure???

KATIE:  It's a day of remembrance, Waffles. To honor and thank those we've loved and those we've lost.

WAFFLES:  Don't worry, Boss. I'm not lost. I'm right here.

Memorial Day Gratitude
We're pausing this Memorial Day to remember the people we love and say thank you. Friends, family, teachers, soldiers...some we've known our whole lives. They've touched our hearts and helped shape who we are. Some remain anonymous, having given so much, so selflessly, for this beautiful country we call home.

For us, Memorial Day serves as a reminder to honor those who we miss as well as those who continue to inspire us and love us unconditionally.

My Chair is NOT Your Chair

KATIE:  What.

WAFFLES:  What??

KATIE:  What are you doing in my chair, Waffles?

WAFFLES:  Since when is my chair your chair, Boss.

KATIE:  Since forever.

WAFFLES:  Forever is a really long time, Boss. Are you sure it's not since like yesterday?

KATIE:  Forever or just yesterday, you're still sitting in my chair.

About Today's Photos
Those of you who've been with us from the beginning, or even just a few years for that matter, know all too well that Waffles and Katie's relationship is somewhat complicated. Katie still longs for the days when she was an only cat. Waffles, on the other hand, wants nothing more than to be Katie's BFF.

They're definitely not the kind of cat buddies that snuggle together, grooming one another though. That's just never going to happen.

So when Gloman and Glogirly discovered them sitting TOGETHER in the SAME chair, they ran for their cameras and started shooting. Because if there wasn't any photographic proof, it never happened.

Cat Mom's Day Quarantine

KATIE:  How come you're not wearing your mask on Glogirly's t-shirt, Waffles?

WAFFLES:  How come you ARE wearing a mask on her t-shirt, Boss?

KATIE:  Well at least I'm not playing with it like a cat toy. What if Glogirly did that with her mask when she went to the grocery store?

WAFFLES:  Yeah, but it's way more fun to play with her mask than it is to wear it.

KATIE:  That's not the point, Waffles.

WAFFLES:  Since when is having fun not the point?

KATIE:  Since when? Since you dragged her mask into the litter box with you.

WAFFLES:  Is that wrong?

KATIE:  Help me, Glogirly. Please.

Happy Cat Mom's Day!

Glogirly's new custom t-shirt arrived just in time for Mother's Day. It's not often she buys something she found on Facebook, but when she clicked on this t-shirt and found it could be purr-sonalized, she decided to give it a whirl. When she realized the orange cat was flinging his mask up in the air, she HAD to have it.

We're sending our deepest love and gratitude to all the moms out there. Glogirly carries her love for her mom in her heart each and every day. ðŸ’•

The Masked Cat Girl

WAFFLES:  Hey Boss, Glogirly's hiding behind her mask, but I can totally see her.

KATIE:  She's not hiding, Waffles. She's practicing social distancing and wearing her new cat mask.

WAFFLES:  CAT mask? Like for CATS???

KATIE:  It's got cats ON it, Waffles. It's not for cats to WEAR.

WAFFLES:  Maybe I want to wear a mask. Maybe YOU should wear a mask, Boss. It's got your colors and stuff.

KATIE:  Maybe you should just stick to practicing social distancing and stay six feet away from me. Preferably at all times.

WAFFLES:  But how am I going to share breakfast with you? And dinner?

KATIE:  How about you stick to eating out of your OWN dish, Waffles? You know, the dish that's six feet AWAY from my dish.

WAFFLES:  But breakfast always tastes better out of your dish, Boss.

Glogirly's New Mask
In Colorado, just as in most states, our governor is encouraging residents to wear a mask whenever they leave home. So of course, Glogirly didn't want just any mask...she had to have a cat-themed mask. Lucky for her, she's got a talented friend that made this mask for her. Because if left to her own devices, Glogirly would be forced to cobble something together with hot glue and rubber bands.
