It's Hard Work Getting Ready for the Weekend

WAFFLES:  Glogirly's been working on her computer ALL day. How are we supposed to get ready for the weekend if all she's going to do is work???



KATIE:  Waffles, why don't you just do what you always do to get ready for the weekend? 

WAFFLES:  What do I always do again? I forget. 

KATIE:  Just close your eyes and think real hard.



WAFFLES:  Ok, thinking... thinking.



KATIE:  Are your eyes closed? 

WAFFLES:  No.

KATIE:  Close your eyes and think harder. Try not to hurt yourself, ok?  Waffles? Waffles? Bueller?



WAFFLES:  Zzzzz....


About Today's Photos
Whenever Glogirly's working on a big project, she sets up her laptop in our fireplace room that opens into the kitchen. There's no TV in there so she can't get distracted with Lifetime Channel movies or Dance Mom repeats. It's nice and quiet and she's got a big comfy chair. We also have one of our Sleepypods in there. 

Katie and Waffles will take turns in the Sleepypod all day long if that's where Glogirly stays. She likes to think they want to be near her. But it's quite possible the kitchen is a much bigger draw.

    My human is amazed that Glogirly can work - and do such amazing things - with the TV on! She gets way too distracted on just the laptop with Facebook in the background. She needs to be away from distractions even for the tiny, no-brainer things on her schedule!

    Mum loses the TV remote for days at a time. We are catching up on a whole series of 'Elementary' when she finally find it! I love Katie's technique........ works a treat doesn't it :-)

    Katie, you so smart. You give Glogirly time without Waffles, and alone time with you. Because I'm sure you could lay next to her without disturbing her, so she can get her work done. I got to remember that trick for my baby brother.
