TV Trip: Wonder Waffles

WONDER WAFFLES:  Invisible Flight #423 is now boarding all rows. We've got a full plane today so please limit your carry ons to one purr-sonal item and one large bag of chicken treats for your pilot. 



KATIE:  I knew it. The overhead bins are already full. I sure hope this cat in front of me doesn't decide to recline. 

FURMIKA the TORTIE: Recline? Wait. Where am I and who are you?

WONDER WAFFLES:  Uh, where'd the steering wheel go? I can't see anything in here. It's like it's invisible or something.

KATIE:  I don't know,  I'm having second thoughts about this flight. 

FURMIKA the TORTIE:  FLIGHT? I thought this was a box. Boxes don't fly. What kind of cats are you?

KATIE:  Apparently you've never met Waffles. 

WONDER WAFFLES:  WONDER Waffles, Boss! Wonder Waffles!

KATIE:  *sigh*

TV Trip Saturdays with the Shelter Cats!
Our Saturday spoofs just got a whole lot furrier! Each week an adoptable cat from PAWS Pet Animal Welfare Society will be making a cameo appearance in our TV Trip blog series. Through the magic of Photoshop, they'll join Katie and Waffles in their TV time-travel adventures.

We'll also introduce you to the cameo cats and share a little bit about them. Maybe, just maybe... some silly wigs and special effects will help our shelter friends find forever homes.

Special thanks to Maggie Swanson, the talented photographer behind our cameo cats and a devoted volunteer at PAWS. Maggie is the author of the blog, Sundays at the Shelter, where she features adoptable cats from PAWS each and every week. Her beautiful photos have helped countless cats find loving homes.

Today's Cameo Cat
Meet Furmika. She's such a beautiful girl! Five years old with a very calm and gentle way about her, she gets along just fine with other cats. Her striking tortoiseshell markings and sea green eyes are as lovely as she is. She's a healthy sweetheart who just needs a chance. A chance to love and be loved.

Furmika is available for adoption at PAWS, Pet Animal Welfare Society in Norwalk, Connecticut.

    Holy CAT! You mentioned planes, and now our MOM wants her OWN invisible one.

    We told her just to make zoomie noises out in the front yard while holding her arms out.
    Of course, then we will be too ashamed to show our faces to the neighbors, but hey, we're indoor cats anyways....

    Mom cannot stop laughing. We really hope she doesn't wet herself. And we are really hoping that Waffles doesn't start to question his identity with all this cross-dressing he does each week.
