KATIE: Do I have a choice?
WAFFLES: C'mon Boss! It'll be fun. Just close your eyes, I'll count to chicken and then you try to find me.
KATIE: Are you in the Sleepypod?
WAFFLES: BOSS!! You're not supposed to find me until I count to chicken!
KATIE: But I already know you're in the Sleepypod.
WAFFLES: No I'm not.
KATIE: Yes you are.
WAFFLES: No I'm not.
KATIE: Waffles...
WAFFLES: Ok - One, two, four, CHICKEN! Open you eyes, Boss!
KATIE: Waffles, I don't even need to open my eyes. You're still in the Sleepypod.
WAFFLES: BOSS! You're cheating.
KATIE: Mancats are so predictable. Especially the orange ones.
You'd think after our 2,000+ mile road trip, zipped up in a Sleepypod for untold hours, Waffles would have had enough. Not so. We know you've seen our cool looking pods in lots of our photos...that's because we have them out all the time. As a result, both, Katie and Waffles hang out in them almost every single day. Especially Waffles. If Glogirly is sitting in the fireplace room where we keep our white one, he's ALWAYS hanging out inside the pod. Sometimes he sleeps, sometimes he plays and sometimes he just stares out into space like he's got marshmallows between his ears. Oh wait... I think he might.And because everyone is so comfortable in them, it makes those dreaded trips to the vet so much easier. We know what you're thinking... what about the vet smell? Eau de Vet? Surprisingly, it's had no effect on pod popularity.
This isn't a product review... just another testament to something we really, really love and use everyday.

ReplyDeleteI always think Amelia will be sick of whatever carrier (stroller, crate, two room tent) that she is zipped into on trips but she so predictably heads back in minutes after being set free! And she is not orange or a boy. She'd just rather be hid and not sought!

ReplyDeleteWaffles, The Staff says I'm not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer either, but as I'm not sure what it means, I don't worry about it. Marshmallow is just another name for the cerebral cortex ;)

ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that they still want to hang out in the pods after all that traveling. Did you know that you can go through www.smile.amazon.com and choose a charity to benefit from your shopping? I chose PAWS but other animal shelters and non profits should be on Amazon's list.

Glad you kitties buckle up in the car. Our kitties are in their carrier dreaming of owning a sleepy pod, but Mom hasn't buckled the carrier in. We dogs do wear out seat belts all the time. Glad you are all home safe from Nashville.

MOL ! We luvluvluv Sleepypods and ask Mum very often if we can have one ; she always answers that it's sooooooooooo expensive in Switzerland that it's just no-no-no... Purrs

Whoever came up with the idea to create a cat carrier that doubles as a bed was absolutely brilliant!

ReplyDeleteWe like our Sleepypod, too. Mom Paula had to put it up for a couple of weeks because of the emergency vet smells which stressed Truffle. Now they are doing fine and like to sleep in it, especially the top part.
ReplyDeleteWaffles!! That face! Those fangs! Well you guys are lucky you love your sleepy pods because just like Glogirly, I love the sleepypod! So I bought one but all my kitties didn't like it. At all! I left it out for a long time but no grabbers like you guys. And my orange Jack, who is a goofball as much as Waffles but is a scaredy cat (nothing like Waffles on that), could not pass the sleepypod without crawling and eyeing it. Poor guy. I guess it just looked way too strange for them. I'm glad you guys are having fun with it. And Waffles, yes Katie and everybody can see you in it!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear your crew haven't taken to the Sleepypod! If you haven't already tried this... take the top off and see if they are attracted to it just as a bed. Also, we incorporate it into playtime with a wand toy. That worked really well for us.
