Volleyball Cats #SundaySelfies

WAFFLES:  Cool, Boss... crinkle ball volleyball!  Can I play too?

KATIE:  Depends.



WAFFLES:  Depends on what?

KATIE:  Do you even know how?

WAFFLES:  Uh, I just grab the crinkle ball and whap it around the floor, right?

KATIE:  NO, that's crinkle ball soccer.  *Rookie*

WAFFLES:  So how do we play the volleyball way?



KATIE:  I take the crinkle ball and serve it to you, then –

WAFFLES:  Serve? You mean like breakfast?

KATIE:  No, I serve it meaning I toss it and you have to toss it back.  Ok, I'm going to serve it really far... are you ready?

WAFFLES:  Ready, Boss!

KATIE:  And...



KATIE:  GO!!!



KATIE:  Keep going, Waffles. Keep going. Farther... Still farther.  



KATIE:  Now back to my regularly scheduled program.



About Today's Photos
Some of our favorite pictures come from our product review photo shoots. We always try to get the money shots with the products and kitties in focus, looking all model-like. But the really fun shots are often the ones that happen in-between our best laid plans.

Our crinkle ball pictures were outtakes from the Purina Muse campaign and Katie's lounging photo is from the Peach Pillow Bed blog post. 

The rest is just what Glogirly imagines Katie & Waffles are saying to one another. Something she spends hours and hours everyday trying to figure out.  Do you try to read your cats' minds too?

    I love seeing Katie play!! Glogirly has a great sense of humour and a great sense of what you guys might be thinking. Of course I do the same with my cats! They each have a specific voice that goes with their personalities. There are so many great scenarios in our house too with four cats! Three males and one diva female who rules just like Katie. Don't all female rule?

    Cats are so interesting. I swear my orange Jack was embarrassed the other day when he ran for what he thought was a bird but it was a leaf. His little bewildered expression. Priceless. No worries, birds are never armed. I check my cats like a hawk!

    Knowing my cats, I think you read their minds purrfectly! I know my cats would love the crinkle balls, but I know cat bro Bert would eat his, so can't have any. Great story!

    The mom spends hours trying to figure out what we're saying/thinking to one another, too. We try not to give her any clues. :)

    We loved watching the crinkle balls and admire how the colorful balls brought out Katie and Waffles' colors. We're going to go find some now!!! Our human tries to figure out what we're saying too, but she rarely succeeds. (PS: We let her think she succeeded)
