WAFFLES: Da da da da daaaaaa daaa. ♫♩ Da da da da daaaaaaa. ♫♩
Hey Boss! Shouldn't our show be called Waffles Ten-0? You know, like hang ten-0?
KATIE: This isn't a surfing show, Waffles. It's not Blue Crush.
WAFFLES: Don't you want to surf, Boss?
KATIE: This is a serious crime fighting show. We're the detectives, Waffles. We find all the criminals and solve all the cases.
WAFFLES: You mean like who's been opening up the kitchen cupboards?
KATIE: And raiding the Cheetos bag?
WAFFLES: Gulp. Did you say Cheetos bag?
KATIE: Waffo, I think I need to Book 'em YOU.
MERRIT (left): I've never read that book. Is it good?
WAFFLES: Not as good as Cheetos.
MERRITT: Da da da da daaaaaa daaa. ♫♩ Da da da da daaaaaaa. ♫♩
Glogirly has very fond memories of Lt. Steve Mcgarrett, Danno and Hawaii Five-0. Though she was probably a little young for a crime fighting show at the time, she and her mom would watch it together, often when her dad was out of town on business. And whenever they watched anything even remotely scary, Glogirly's mom would let her crawl in bed and sleep with her.
They had long conversations late into the night. Very special times. Very special memories.
Merritt is a cat with plenty of tortie certitude! She is busy snoopervising her room. A real diva with a heart of gold. Merritt has a strong personality and is the undisputed queen of the room. She's around five years old and gets along just fine with the other cats in HER room.
Merritt is available for adoption at PAWS, Pet Animal Welfare Society in Norwalk, Connecticut.
TV Trip Saturdays with the Shelter Cats
Every Saturday we're featuring adoptable cats from PAWS Pet Animal Welfare Society in Norwalk, CT. in our TV Trip blog series. Through the magic of Photoshop, they'll join Katie and Waffles for some time-travel adventures in our TV Trip blog series. We'll also introduce you to the 'Cameo Cats' and share a little bit about them. Maybe, just maybe... our crazy antics will help our shelter friends find forever homes.
Special thanks to Maggie Swanson, the talented photographer behind our cameo cats and a devoted volunteer at PAWS. Maggie is the author of the blog, Sundays at the Shelter, where she features adoptable cats from PAWS each and every week. Her beautiful photos have helped countless cats find loving homes.

ReplyDeleteMerritt is beautiful! I'll share to help out in finding her a home. I can so relate to your special times watching Hawaii Five-O w/ your mom. I feel the same way about Murder She Wrote, which I always watched w/ my Dad when I was young. I bought the entire video collection and I often watch the shows, thinking about my Dad and those great TV times. I'm so entering the Go Pro contest, I've been drooling for one....!

ReplyDeleteMommy used to watch that show with Grammy! Same kind of nice memories. :) She watches the newer one now, and Grammy watched it, too. Grammy studied at the University of Hawaii for a semester, and she took Mommy there three times for holidays.
ReplyDeleteCheetos? Waffles be careful, surfing is not traditionally a cat sport.
