KATIE: You dance and twirl with such grace. Your texture is divine. Ours is a love affair written in the–
WAFFLES: Uh, Boss? I thought you guys broke up.
KATIE: That's just an ugly rumor, Waffles.
WAFFLES: So how come you have to have a chaperone thing whenever you guys play?
KATIE: Waffles, you don't even know what a chaperone is.
WAFFLES: So then why does Glogirly lock up your toy at night?
KATIE: Waffles, you're too young to understand.
WAFFLES: This isn't one of those birds and bees things, is it?

We heard you broke up with strings, too. MOL!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuxie Tuesday!
>>Smoochies<<
Oh Katie - you be careful with those strings
ReplyDeleteBe careful, Katie!
ReplyDeleteKatie, would you enjoy a length of rawhide lace? At least it's digestible...
ReplyDeleteI has a string/curling ribbon/Easter grass addikshun too.
ReplyDeleteOur string toys get locked up too - I have no idea why!
ReplyDeleteBe careful and play safe, Katie ! No, Waffles, no : it's not a birds and bees and flowers thing.... Purrs
ReplyDeleteOur string toys are all locked up, too, Waffles. Pierre stole a rubber band the other day off of some mail because those are locked up, as well. Humans can be such spoilsports. What are we going to play with at 3am while we thunder through the house like a herd of elephants?
ReplyDeleteOurs get locked up too. String is so enticing!
ReplyDeleteHa ha you are cracking is up again today. I love strong too.... Amy toy that has a string I want to play with. Hope you are starting to feel better Katie.
ReplyDeleteBe careful, Katie! You're just getting well!!!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, string.... I, Toby, also love thee. With a great passion.
ReplyDeleteMOL, Waffles!! We are glad Glogirly is locking up your toy at night, Katie. We don't want to see you get hurt!
ReplyDeletePlaying with strings is like playing with little baby snakes!
ReplyDeletewe hate it when those love affairs go wrong and require supervision.....sigh
ReplyDeleteyes., a supervised and part time love affair is better than no love affair at all..
ReplyDeleteWaffles is starting to pack on a few extra brain cells there isn't he? don't tell me he is going to become supersmart..
Supervised visits are better than no visits, Katie. Waffles just doesn't understand... now if there was a chicken tied on a string...
ReplyDeleteEven supervised play can be a problem. I swear I only looked away for a few seconds, and now Mickey Mouser's beloved Go Cat teaser mouse toy has no tail.
xxoo
Maggie
String glorious String!
ReplyDeleteOh Waffles....hopefully you will never have to find out what kind of a thing it is.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are being safe Katie!
Good girl Katie..better safe than sorry..Waffles..you are just silly..
ReplyDeletethat's cause your Mom is smart. We lock up ALL of the dangly toys at night. We also cut handles off of bags....and....we cut bells off of toys. Why they keep putting bells on cat toys (choking hazards) are beyond me.
ReplyDeleteYou know that string is just playing with your emotions. You might even say its just um... stringing you along. HA! Yeah, well, it needs to be locked up at night for that behavior!
ReplyDeleteI love my string too, but alas, like your string it is just a daytime romance.
ReplyDeleteHush your mouth, Waffles! What do you know about .... errrr ...... the birds and the bees?? ;)
ReplyDeleteSome things just can't be explained.
ReplyDeleteWaffles its a girl-cat thing and us guys just have to abide
ReplyDeleteKatie, I hope your recent intestinial flareup has nothing to do with the surgery from when you swallowed that ribbon. The peeps have been doing silly but dangerous stuff lately. I think they’re trying to off me. Do you know the peeps left the sharp side of the wishbone on the floor by the trash can overnight? Then TW found a ribbon laying on the kitchen table that Pop swore he threw out. I’m too smart to fall for those things.
ReplyDeleteMOL glad yous gettin' sum quality time wiff yous stwing Katie. Hav fun.
ReplyDeleteLuv ya'
Dezi and Lexi
We have to hide strings and feather toys here too.
ReplyDeleteSue B
That looks like fun, but I am glad you get a chaperone-those strings can be tricky.
ReplyDeleteDerby had one of those. It was mylar strips and he just loved that. Mum had to put it way out of his reach after play time.
ReplyDeleteAh Katie, those strings are mesmerizing and a delight but Glogirly knows best and Waffles still has some learning to do. Boys.
ReplyDeleteYou guys really make us laff!
ReplyDeleteWe understand, Katie, even if Waffles doesn't. Our string toys get put away when we're done playing, too.
ReplyDeleteWe thought you chewed through the telephone line, BOL
