Get Out And VOTE

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Today comes but once every four years here in the US. Glogirly takes a walk to the local elementary school, looks at the construction paper cutouts of kids' hands on the wall, and the tiny little classroom chairs. She waits in line with friends, neighbors, and strangers to check the little boxes. She's thankful for living in this great country and prays those little boxes make a difference.

"Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting."

_________________________________________________________________________________

Those of you who are kind enough to come and visit me day after day know there's another VOTE going on.  For the past two weeks, Glogirly's been asking total strangers to vote for our video, "Katie Is...ACCUSED."  Out of LOTS and LOTS of total strangers, only one grumpy elevator man looked at her like she was nuts. Everyone else- the grocery store guy, the post office lady, the car repair guy, the cashier at Target, even the Delta Airlines check in agent (and they're almost ALWAYS grumpy) were happy to help. They all promised to watch and vote. They all smiled big and wished us luck.

So as your human is standing in line to cast their vote in the presidential election, how about they ask just one person to watch and vote for Katie. All they need to remember is TheFriskies.com and Katie Is...Accused.  Click HERE for a small reminder card you can print! This is just the kind of thing that can turn strangers into friends.

  1. My human and her boyfriend are walking down to the polling place together - it is kind of a tradition. Also, it's her way of making sure he doesn't slack off. ;)

  2. We are not voting today , here in Sweden it´s election in 2014 :)

My humans think´s you have a strange way to count votes in the States.
Here in Sweden one vote is one vote and it doesn´t matter wich part in the country you live in.

  4. Our human will vote after work. There's a huge ballot this year, and we are a little worried she might be late with our dinner. So this voting thing must be pretty important, if it makes make dinner late.

  6. So I am understanding this correct! It's a choice between an elephant and a donkey? So where's the cat option? Just saying ;)

  10. Katie darl,
Considering that you are the undisputed Ruler of the World, would that make the President of the USA your subordinate? I heard the incumbent has a dog, not a cat. What a pity! purrr....meow!
