Belly Up To The Cat Bar


Hi everyone, Katie here.

Last week our friends at Hauspanther (you know, the cool kitty site with all the hip and modern kitty gear) sent us an email about Drinkwell's brand new ceramic Pagoda Fountain. If I had a drink for every time I told Glogirly to get me a fountain...well, I'd have my own private Betty Ford suite.

But FINALLY, thanks to Hauspanther, she found just the right design.


Waffles Too immediately bellied up to the bar. It took him awhile to realize this was a DRINKING fountain, not a WADING fountain.  There were a few HBO words and a bunch of paper towels.



I approached with caution.  Had to watch my back for incoming fire. 



But guess what...We LOVE it!  No more tussles in the bathtub, fighting over the dribbling faucet. We can come and go as we please. And a certain *someone* can't sniff my tail and drink at the same time.  Glogirly says that if I drink more water I'll be healthier and it might even be easier for me to lose that last pound I'm working on.  


Still, I can think of about 7-8 pounds I'd like to shed.

    I read the email about this fountain too, and I'm going to have to take another look at it after looking at your fabulous pics!

    Is there a lot maintenance involved in this particular model?

      I'm not sure on maintenance yet...just plugged in in yesterday. : )
      But it's all ceramic, so will be easy to wipe out. It's got a charcoal filter that is replaceable...or you can still run it without it. There's a small rubber piece inside that protects and keeps the pump cord in place. That's the only piece that looks like the water might be hard on it. They say to clean once a week...we'll see if I keep that up! haha!

      But I LOVE how it looks. It's very nice. Kind of loud...not used to that yet. But the kitties LOVE it!

      We're going to check back in with you and see how the maintenance is going!
      HBO words? LOL! We have two older foster kittens that are obsessed with running water, so that's another consideration! They're a black and white sister brother duo, so maybe they would be purrfect in every way (just like Katie)! :-)

      Oh I should clarify what I mean by loud. The motor is very quiet. I've just never had a fountain before, so I'm not used to the sound of the water yet. ; )

    Our Mama just got us a fountain but it isn't as cool looking as this one but we sure do like it.

    Mama here, I went for a stainless steel one for easy cleaning but I wish I had seen this one first, I like the design.

    We love the fountain! Our mommy has an indoor garden pond we drink out of. You'll get used to the flowing water.

    Very chic fountain! Luv it that is pours out of both sides - pawsomely pawfect for you two Ha! :)

    Wonder if they make a doggy waterfall? Must have Mom look into this ;)

    This look likes a fountain my older kitty could drink from. He loves water out of the faucet. Really nice design.

    Wow, Mommy and all of us love that fountain. She's been looking at them forever, but they were all plastic. We don't do plastic! Mom stopped with the very first cat, Skooter, as he got acne on his chin from the plastics. We're definitely going to check these out.     We are shocked that it's not pink. Really! AND The Ornj Mutant (Ollie) still wades around the waterbowl (and even still gets that same goofy expression that W2 has) so we think it's the Ornj. That must be it.

    I LOVE the looks of this fountain--and I will pester Tommy to get us one, cuz I think we'd all be happier pride of kitties with this-plus I think it quite fetching!
