Hi everyone, Katie here.
I know you've all been waiting to hear about my recent visit to the evil Vet. I had a distemper booster with a giant needle. Not that I need to boost my temper any. Waffles Too already has THAT covered. I was wrapped in a towel like a burrito. Then without warning...JAB. So much for this *party* at the Vet Clinic Waffles Too has been bragging about.
Then came the dreaded weigh-in. I've been starving for MONTHS, what with Glogirly's crazy quest to help me trim down to the girlish figure of my youth. Compound that with all the meals the orange brat has STOLEN right from under my nose. I'm lucky I have the strength to walk.
Wha...What???
Seriously? I've got to take a second look.
Oh. My. Cod. There IS a Cod. I've lost a whole pound. That's 16 ounces! That's over a third of what the orange monster weighed when he first came home to the Townhouse. Well I know how I can lose even more. *taps paw to chin and visualizes Waffles Too in a suitcase*
Wha? What?? There's MORE???
I've been cleared for MORE food. Not just any food, mind you. Glogirly's been given explicit instructions to give me dreamy, creamy, CANNED food. EVERYDAY. Turns out she's been UNDER-feeding me. Can you believe it?
Why I oughta... I heard the whole thing. There's no way she's getting out of this now.
I just have to figure out how to keep Waffles' sticky paws off my gooey goodness.
This ought to work.
The FACTS, Jack:
November 2012, 12.4 pounds
March 2013, 11.4 pounds
Approximately 1 more pound to go.
Bring on the ooey gooey gravy. Yeah, baby.
Ok, at the risk of sounding like a broken record...

ReplyDeleteAwesome news, Katie! Especially about getting the canned food. That is all we eat around here, and we are all svelte! Even Boodie under all her fluff.
ReplyDeleteOh Katie - great news! I think you look fabulous ;) With all the starvation and running away from the orange kitty no wonder you lost a whole pound lol.

Yay for the weight loss! Yay for more stinky goodness! I'm betting that if you did stuff Waffles Too in that carrier, he'd think it was his new party room..
ReplyDeleteWoohoo more nommies for you now for a bit of orange boy whapping
ReplyDeleteWow Katie that is an epic win. Now you got to keep the Orange One off your munchies. We tried to vote but got in a muddle again. Think we ended up sharing it on FB. No worries can but help maybe. Have a terrific Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
A while back, the vet told me if Lita gained anymore weight (She's 11 pounds 7 ounces), that we might want to consider putting her on a wet-food only diet. I think she'd love that!!! She eats her wet dinner and then goes and cleans up the crumbs from the others as it is now, lol.
ReplyDeleteGlad the vet visit went well. It sounds like Katie is in good health :)
Congrats! We LOVE gravy! You will be in heaven.
ReplyDeleteCanned food? Score!! We can't believe that Glogirly was underfeeding you. You've been practically wasting away, Katie. For once, the dreaded vet did you a favor.
ReplyDeleteWhy do the humans obsess about weight numbers? It's just a number! At least you got the green light from your vet to eat some yummy gooey goodness.
ReplyDeleteYAY you!
ReplyDeleteI switched the G's back from Hills Rx c/d to Fancy Feast... but I'm adding and equal amount of water. Gandalf gained several pounds on the c/d even though he mostly wasted it.
PAWSOME NEWS GIRL! And today my MomKatt found SHE had lost two pounds, too! So you both have something to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteWHOOPEE!
But you look beautiful anyway ...
PURRZ!
Selina
"UNDER FEEDING YOU??" That's inexcusable!! Hey Katie! You and I weigh the same but the vet says I am a little fat cause I am a small boned cat. Love, Cody

Wow, that's great news! And canned food is so much better. There are low-cal treats.
ReplyDeleteWell done Katie!
ReplyDeleteYou were being starved???!!! This is unacceptable. Do we need to send the ASPCA to your home for monitoring of proper amounts of food? Just let us know!
ReplyDeleteKatie that's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteyay GIRL - I'm so proud of you. Yikes - now M wants to haul me off to the vet to see how much I have lost. Thanks Katie for putting that idea into her head!

ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
wow the all clear to get more food must be good. I was at thee vet today too. Mum loves your carrier. we don't have them like that here.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteDreamy, creamy, canned food? Is that good canned food or that prescription junk? We're surprised W2 was able to steal your food if you were so hungry :)
ReplyDeleteWow Katie a whole pound! That is astonishing. But we are glad you will now be dining on the "good" stuff! Mom sends a BIG thank you for commenting on her photos. She takes that as a BIG compliment coming from your Glogirl who takes absolutely magical photos of you and W2!
ReplyDeletexoxoxo
Way to Go, GirlieCat. You rock. Now to keep that svelte selfie, you still need W2 to nom the really fattening stuff. it's usually best to do that right in front of your face, that way your body knows what your missing and burns extra calories that way. that feeling of righteous indignation your feeling? also burning calories. See how helpful it has been to have W2 in your little life? You are one lucky Kitteh.
ReplyDeleteYay!!!!! Bring on the gravy!!! :0 No wonder W2 has been able to give you the run around. You've been starving!!!! You and Mr Puddy should start a club or something!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is Choppy's future at the vet...except she's going in the category of animals who have gained weight. I see a diet in her future.
ReplyDeleteThat vet visit actually doesn't sound too daunting. The annual stuff is a breeze. We only have to go into the office when we're sick. Our vet is coming to the house next week for what Dad calls, "The Round-up." Giulietta and sis Fiona are a little worried because they both have had a runny eye for quite sometime. That may mean an extra shot for each of them. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at www.thecatonmyhead.com, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteSee! See! We KNEW she was starving you! Score on the stinky goodness. Don't let her try any of that grain-free on you. Starving is better.
ReplyDeleteWell, Katie, guess that's one benefit of going to the evil v-e-t this time! Enjoy all your stinky goodness!!
ReplyDeleteA prescription for wet food? Sounds almost worth it!
ReplyDeleteKatie! Yous ROCKS!!!
ReplyDeleteYous losted a whole pound AND yous gets to eat gooshy foods!
Wonderous!
Kisses
Nellie
Can anyone recommend a good, lean wet food?
ReplyDeleteThank you.
I'm eating Royal Canin's spayed/neutered canned formula. : )
DeleteOh what lovely news I dreams of hearing the vet say I needs to eat more. ~Scylla
ReplyDeleteway to go girl furriend...come on..slap that paw right here with mine! Yeah!! My Feb vet check showed me losing 2 WHOLE pounds in a year...so I shed that stoopid shelter weight. OMC! That diet of nothing but dry kibble will kill your waistline...so now...gooey goodness AM and PM and the kibble is just a little 'snack' now and then...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your stinky goodness foood :)
ReplyDeleteYou sure deserve it !!
