The Best Medicine Ever

WAFFLES:  I'm on strict nurse duty on account of Glogirly's got a cold.

WAFFLES:  Hey Boss! Can you bring us a snack?

KATIE:  Who do you think I am, the pizza delivery guy?

WAFFLES:  I was kind of thinking chicken.

WAFFLES:  With gravy, right Glogirly?

About Today's Photos
Katie and Waffles have been sticking to Glogirly like glue ever since she came down with the mother of all colds a few days ago. They instinctively know when she's not feeling well and take turns being by her side. Occasionally they even let their nursing shifts overlap and Glogirly suddenly finds herself surrounded by kitty love. There's no better medicine.

WAFFLES:  About that chicken.

  10. Sorry that your mum is feeling poorly. It took about 10 weeks for me to recover from my flu and stop coughing, the worst I have had in years, so take it easy. Glad your furry nurses are helping.

  16. Waffles we applaud u for your fur protection of your human. We have been protecting our person for 2 weeks now while recovering from the flu and we know it's labor intensive. We must keep them warm! We did notice that you got rewarded with a lil chest rub in photo 1...lol...keep up the good work!

  18. We agree that kitties are good medicine. We think a bucket of KFC is a good way to "pay" them. ;-)

  20. I remember becoming Quite Ill on New Year's 2002 or 2003 while I was home from uni and wanting only to crawl into bed wearing my flannel jammies, pull the covers over my head, and die until my immune system had routed whatever evil pestilence was currently torturing me. One of the family cats, Snowball (that's what eight-year-olds name white cats. Sue me. ;D), decided I absolutely needed company, so she jumped up on my bed, settled down by my pillow--at six pounds she was the perfect size--and started purring her Huge Huge Purr. I immediately felt better. Not physically better; I was still completely miserable physically, but my mood and spirit were lighter. 'Fur Therapy' is excellent treatment when you're sick, considering how much power and influence the mind has over the body/physical health. If nothing else, fuzzy lovin' makes being sick a bit more bearable. ;)
