WAFFLES: It's been snowing and all foggy and stuff this week, so we've been busy playing Snow Hooky.
WAFFLES: So Boss, what's a snow hooky? Do I need ice skates to play? How 'bout a hooky puck?
KATIE: Please make him stop. I thought we were all supposed to be napping by the fire. Quietly napping.
Though only a few inches of snow fell, we've been fogged in since last week. Ergo, a great time to play snow hooky. Truth be told, Glogirly has been using this time to catch up on house projects and cleaning. Ok, there may have been a nap or two inserted into the schedule. And a little Netflixing.
Here's a video of Glogirly's trip back from the mailbox. (!)
A couple of days ago, our neighbors stopped by for a snack.
And as the fog lifted this morning, we woke up to an incredibly beautiful sunrise.
Mr. Sun should be making an appearance soon though, so by the time you're reading this on Friday, all of our snow will likely be gone! That's just one of the things that makes Colorado so magical this time of the year. We can have snow one day, and toasty sun the next. We can wake up above the clouds with the sunrise coloring the sky pink.
Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! How long is your driveway?
ReplyDeleteIt's 1/3 mile!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Netflixing and Napping are two chilly day sports we are totally down with here in the warehouse apartment! Stay cozy!
ReplyDeleteit sure it pretty, though mom thinks it would definitely be prettier from inside by a nice fire
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Except for the driving in snow.
ReplyDeleteThe sunrise image is spectacular! Waffles, my boy, you are a cat, so your whole life is basically playing hooky! You tell him, Katie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place you live in! We suspect you might get to play snow hooky more than once this winter.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise. Stay warm and toasty.

In good weather you can get in a nice walk to the mailbox. Be safe driving in the snow. We hope we don't see snow for another month or more!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pics as always. Katie and Waffles you are darlings, MOL! Love the video of the trip to the mailbox - yikes! Hello to the sweet neighbors. Thanks for sharing these stunning images, we don't get this kind of views in Texas.
ReplyDeleteThe sunrise's colors are amazing ! Seeing snow as we still have 20 C / 68 C is a little bit strange for us... Purrs
ReplyDeleteAlways delighting us with the amazing pictures (they look like paintings!). Stay warm Katie and Waffles!
