WAFFLES: Hey Boss! Did you lock up all your valuables?
KATIE: Waffles, I don't think anyone is going to steal your fetch toy.
WAFFLES: Yeah, but you can never be too safe. Did you see the room service guy? He was eyeing my wand toy, my food dish –
WAFFLES: I better stick it way in the back.
KATIE: Ok, Waffles. You stick it. Way in the back. Farther. A little farther...
KATIE: Here, let me get that door for you.
Day 5 of Katie & Waffles' Grand Hotel Adventure
Glogirly spent the afternoon at the Townhouse checking on progress. She's pleased to report that the cat trees have been reinstalled and are ready for action. *phew!* Just one more day of construction and we'll be moving back home. We sure are going to miss our luxury suite in the city. And we have a feeling we'll be missing our luxury meal service too. The last thing on Glogirly's mind is grocery shopping and cooking. ...ok, truth be told that's nothing new.
While away from home, Katie and Waffles surprisingly seem to coexist in peace far more than they do at home. There've been no mealtime patty cake shuffles, not even a single scuffle. You could say that the stress of a new environment makes them band together, but neither of them are showing any signs of stress at all. In fact, they're so relaxed they act like they've been living here forever. Even Katie's been playing crinkle ball soccer.
We think it has a lot to do with the fact that the whole family is together. It's really a great testament to the old saying, "Home is where the heart is." Or in this case where all four hearts are.
WAFFLES: Home is where the FETCH TOY is.

Heh heh heh... hey Katie, is there room in there for a Ham as well?ReplyDelete
Gotta love Waffles' sense of adventureReplyDelete
So, was that a "safe" place for your toys, Waffles?ReplyDelete
Awwww......MOL :D Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend :) <3ReplyDelete
That safe is where my human puts my show toys, because otherwise I'd be dragging them all over the room! Oops, sorry Waffles, I didn't mean YOUR safe. So don't bother looking for them, 'cause they aren't there!ReplyDelete
Our mommy doesn't put our toys in the safe ..... We think there've need to talk to her. We're glad all is going well!ReplyDelete
So glad all is peaceful, it must make your lives so much easier!!ReplyDelete
Watch your tail in that Safe door, Waffles. Katie, don't get tempted.ReplyDelete
Hilarious!! Enjoy your last day there.ReplyDelete
I have loved loved loved these!!!ReplyDelete
We think you should see if a Monday morning check-out is possible. Partly because my kitty, Hitch wants Waffles to consider the fact that the bellboy might want to play with that wand toy....from Glogirly's end. After all, who wouldn't want to wave a wand toy for such a handsome man cat. That's always been Hitch's outlook on anyone checking out his favorite wand toy. this philosophy works well for Hitch. When you see them eyeing your toy make sure they see the kitty that goes with it!ReplyDelete
Hmmmmm maybe we need a safe for OUR wand toys too!! Goodi idea.ReplyDelete
The Florida Furkids
Hey Waffles! Katie thinks you're valuable! ;)ReplyDelete
too adorable! I agree, I think the reason they aren't stressed (other than they are already seasoned travelers), is that you are all together, and who COULD be stressed in the lap of luxury?ReplyDelete
Waffles....you gotta be careful....we've heard all about you and doors :)ReplyDelete
We do like it better when we are all together!ReplyDelete
Love the picture of the tail disappearing into the safe. It looks like not one tiny corner of your suite was left unexplored.ReplyDelete
As you're very talented with doors, were you able to lock yourself in the safe, Waffles ? We're glad that everything goes well at your usual home, and that you spend great and peaceful time at the Grand Hotel. PurrsReplyDelete
Didn't you find any chicken in there Waffles? Bummer.ReplyDelete
When we moved with five cats, I was so worried about what they would think.. how they would react. I put them in the largest bathroom in the new house while everything was loading with their cat tree, litter box (scooped but old litter) and a blanket that was soaked in all of our scents.. they were cautious but curious, and when I let them out they saw the bed and they IMMEDIATELY calmed down .. it was like, 'oh, okay, everything is here, that's good, but where is here?' and they walked around and scent marked everything and everything was cool.ReplyDelete
Whew! I finally figured out about halfway down that Waffles was in the SAFE - and not a microwave! With his talents, I was worried he was going to nuke himself! Not sure if it's my eyesight or my sense of technology that's the problem. Waffles, be good!ReplyDelete
Waffles you are certainly the investigator!ReplyDelete
You look so adorable stashing your valuables away in the safe, Waff :)ReplyDelete
lWe are simply amazed and impressed as to how well they have done. For Katie to be wheeled into the lobby with other people is amazing. M says she think's I would be afraid. Waffles and Katie, you are both so cute.ReplyDelete
Waffles, you gotta be careful, dude! and Katie, you gotta be tolerant, lady! :)ReplyDelete
Katie..you are such a naughty girl..mol..and Waff..you are so gullible..mol..I think you are right about your togetherness..ReplyDelete
Watch your back Waffles!ReplyDelete
Have a wonderful weekend!ReplyDelete
