I Can't Believe I Ate the Holistic Thing! Grain Free Holistic Select Review & Giveaway

WAFFLES:  Hey Boss, check out the new food! Glogirly got out the fancy plates so it must be REALLY special. I call the chicken flavor!

KATIE:  Gee that's a surprise, Waffles. Never saw that coming.

WAFFLES:  What are YOU having, Boss?

KATIE:  Hmmm... Chicken, turkey, salmon... Holistic Select. I think I'll have one of each. You go ahead with that little can of chicken, Waffles. I'll just get started on these extra-large cans.

WAFFLES:  Extra-large??? What you talkin' bout, Boss?

On the Hunt for a New Daily Diet: Introducing Holistic Select's New Canned Cat Food Recipes
Waffles and his chicken obsession aside, we don't talk about food all that often here. But when something comes along that blows our fur back, we really want to share it with you. We received a an assortment of Holistic Select's new grain free canned cat formulas recently...or as Glogirly says, "in the nick of time."

Waffles and I recently decided we were tired of our daily diet. There was a lot going on here last month...stressors that likely had an effect on our eating habits. Waffles was galavanting around the country posing for pictures and starring in videos. Meanwhile I was making friends with the ER vet. A quick diagnosis of a bacterial infection and a few antibiotics later, I was fine. But our food wasn't. I wanted a change and in a rare act of solidarity, even Waffles decided he was done with the usual menu.

We tried a handful of foods and brands. A sniff here, a lick there, nothing was making much of an impression on us.

Enter Holistic Select
Usually Glogirly will introduce a new food to us gradually by mixing it with our old. But since we'd already turned our noses up at the old, she went all-in. One delicious flavor after another, Waffles and I both were gobbling it up, renewing our membership in the Clean Plate Club.

Not only do the Holistic Select flavors taste great, Glogirly feels really good about the quality and nutritional attributes of their new formulas. The price is very competitive with other premium brands. ...in fact we're saving a little money each month by using their larger 13 ounce cans!

Why's Holistic a Winner With Us?
1. We're Cleaning Our Plates!
Doesn't matter how fancy, how healthy, how expensive your food is if you're not eating it. Boss! We're wearing the same outfit!
2.  Prebiotic Support
Holistic Select believes total body health begins with digestive health. Chicory root extracts provide prebiotic support for healthy digestion. ...this is a biggee for me and my sensitive stomach. I've not had a single issue on the hardwoods or even the nice rugs since I started eating Holistic.
3.  What it Doesn't Have is as Important as What it Does
No grains, no wheat, no soy, no corn, no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.d we didn't even call each other the night before!
4.  Variety
Seven different flavors and we haven't found one we didn't like! Though Glogirly prefers to serve us poultry as a primary protein source, we occasionally will have salmon or fish as a treat. Our two favorites are the Turkey Pate and Chicken Pate recipes. The Turkey & Salmon Pate recipe is our favorite special treat.
5.  For Cats of All Life Stages
Though Waffles is still a young and obnoxious teenager and I'm a sophisticated and experienced cat, who looks incredibly young for my age, Holistic Selects recipes are perfect for us both. So much so, I have to watch my dish like a hawk with Waffles is around.
6.  THREE Can Sizes!
All of the varieties come in 3 ounce, 5.5 ounce and 13 ounce cans. This is GREAT news for multi-cat households that are tired of opening all those tiny cans everyday.

It's a Tasty GIVEAWAY!
One lucky GLOGIRLY reader will win $50 worth of Holistic Select's new canned cat food recipes. Although prize may only ship to a US address, readers worldwide are invited to enter and gift their prize to a US friend or shelter should they win. Good luck everyone! Thank you for visiting and entering.

  4. Healthy, quality ingredients. I used to buy the "big" brand names, but in time read about things like grains and fillers and moved my cats to a more natural, grain-free diet. I have seen a real positive change but I know there is room for improvement in their diets.

  5. The main attribute has to be that Leonardo will actually eat it; lots of things he just leaves most of it.

  6. Health is the most important attribute to have in a cat food for me, taste is a priority for my guys. They're extremely picky and have repeatedly turned their noses up at healhier choices.

  10. Holistic Select was one of the first brands I picked up when I was transitioning Richard from his prescription food to regular food (but the store only had one flavour). We've now found a store that stocks several varieties so HS is a regular in the food rotation here. And I love that it comes in big cans - definitely a money saver that I wish the other brands I feed him had.

  11. We want healthy and yummy noms. Love the picture of Katie trying to steal the food right off the plate!

  12. Love the holistic food but it tends to come in those itty bitty cans at the highest price so it's nice to see it in a larger size for us multiple cat families.

  13. Mom is looking for something new to try for Rhette. Needless to say there's been no weight loss. We tried 2 cans of the Merrick per your suggestion and he didn't eat it, just licked the juices. RIght now we feed him Merrick kibble, he just seems to prefer kibble but want to still try some canned food. Thanks for the offer guys! Love Dolly

  19. We haven't heard of that brand, but it must be good. Truffle will eat almost anything, but Brulee is the finicky one. We'd love to try out this food and find something she'll eat all the time.

    ReplyDelete
