Hi everyone, Katie here.
Seven to ten days. That's how long Glogirly's vet said it would take to get rid of her cold virus. That's WAY too long if you ask me. This whole *I don't feel good* excuse is really throwing a wrench into my schedule.
It's not complicated -
4:00am snack
8:00am breakfast
5:00pm dinner
But since Gloman is out of town, Waffles and I aren't getting our 4:00am snack. And as far as breakfast is concerned, we're forced to wait until Glogirly's cold medicine wears off before she wakes up from her stuffy-nose-stupor. We don't know if we'll get breakfast at 8:00, 9:00 or even (gasp!) 10:00am.
I don't know what's worse. The hunger or not knowing when my next meal will be.
This morning, do you know that she barely mixed my food up in my dish??? There were unsightly lumps of chicken pate. The presentation was sloppy and disappointing.
Dinner, at least I GOT it, was much the same.
I'm actually considering reaching out to the cat sitter. I think we need a Glogirly sitter.
I fear tomorrow I may be staring at an unopened can. With no thumbs and no hope.
On a much brighter spot...
We have WINNERS!!!
Thank you so much to everyone who entered...and stay tuned for more uber-cool giveaways!
Oh poor Katie...I could come take care of you!
ReplyDeleteConcats to your winners! Whoa, its a sad state of affairs at the Townhouse. TW has a different kind of virus. I've taken to calling her Chief Runny Poo. Hope Gloman gets home soon and Glogirly shapes up or soon it's gonna be survival of the fittest. You may be the chowing down on W2.
ReplyDeleteFaraday: MOWZERS you're in BIG trubble, Waff! Make sure Katie doesn't start eyeing YOU when she gets hungry....!
ReplyDeleteAllie: Oh KATIE, whatever will you do, wherever will you go? WAIT. She has some of those magic plastic card things, correct? Wave it in front of the computer screen and see if you can't get Chewy.com to send you temporary Wait Staff(they DO carry EVERYthing the Well Appointed Cat needs, after all. Oh and be sure to order the linen napkins - and a masseuse who does mani/pedis while you're at it).
Maxwell: guys, isn't ANYone gonna ask how Glogirly's feeling...? *cough* 'scuse me for my rude siblings, ma'am.
GET WELL SOON!
Concats to the winners Puuuuuurrrrr to Katie. Merlin sends thank-you purrs for stopping by his 19th birthday celebration.
ReplyDeletePoor Glogirly. You know Katie if you gave her some snuggles she might feel better sooner.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the lucky winners
Hi Katie, we'll take all of you in and take good care of you guys.
ReplyDeleteKatie, I hear there are kitties out there who actually nurse their humans while they are ill. I can tell you are not one of those!
ReplyDeleteGlogirly's vet hahahaha! Almost missed that! Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners. Sorry the Mom is sick. Hope she feels better soon. No fun being sick. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHey, you get a 4am snack? We didn't know that was supposed to be in our cat contract. Waitaminute....
ReplyDeletePaw you!! It sounds just horrid!
ReplyDeleteThe poor, mistreated kitties in our house feel your pain, Katie. All we ask for is what we want, when we want it, but these humans cannot seem to get it together. Be strong, Katie. That's all we can do, is be strong.
ReplyDeleteMistletoe & Hitch
OMC! Katie, you're being so neglected. Who knew a silly cold could have this trickle down effect on you and Waffles...though we bet you couldn't care less if Waffles gets his 4am snack.
ReplyDeleteWe hope Glogirly feels better soon...for your sake.
And congrats to the winners!
get well soon Glogirly,xx Speedy
ReplyDeleteWe know how you feel...both Mom and Dad had the same thing. It was awful...all that snorting, hacking, coughing. We hope Glogirly feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteConCats to the winners!!
The Florida Furkids
Oh yuck! We're purring that you feel better soon!
ReplyDeletePurrz!
Selina
PS - Katie, hang in there ... are you giving Glogirly paid sick time?
Oh, Katie, we have it bad over here too! Our mom has been house sitting for her sister the past two weeks and we never know when she'll show up to feed us! Boohoohoo!
ReplyDeleteAnd concats to all the winners!
Tragic (head shake). Simply tragic. What is the world coming to when you can't get a snack at 4:00am? Katie, I think it's time to work with Waffles in a plot to take over the world. First step, build a machine to give you thumbs.
ReplyDeleteJump on Glogirlys head at 4am and remind her it's snack time
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
You poor dears! I think you would demand your cat sitter for the duration of Glogirly's cold.
ReplyDeleteOh my Katie now we can't have you missing meals. That is not an option. Time to spring into Action. Call on Waffles to do some AIR Waffles on Glogirl in the AM to get your breakfast ready by 8am!
ReplyDeleteOh, dear Katie. Be patient, my fluffy friend. :) Please let Glogirly know that we are sending her good juju for a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeletePS Hello to Sir Waffles as well. :)
Katie, you and Waffles can come teleport over to my house for some meals.
ReplyDeleteYou know... there was a time when we had the peeps trained to provide, breakfast, mid-morning tea, elevenses, lunch, afternoon snacks, afternoon tea, supper and bedtime snacks. It all came to halt when they figured out what was happenin'. MOUSES!
Purrs,
Nissy
Yikes, I'm tunneling over right now to pitch in and help out. I'm used to humans not well here, so I'm an old hand at it. Just show me where the can opener is and fork. Hope Glogirly feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteOh Katie, you are being much to hard on your Girl. She is sicker than a dog (and probably sounds like a Pug, too -- don't get us wrong, we love Pugs!). We happen to know she was working hard all day and way into the night designing Coco's new blog, even when she kept saying she was feeling sicker, and had to go to bed, Teri kept getting emails with new designs to look at.
ReplyDeleteAnd Teri said it's got to be tough being sick without the GMan to help (since he has thumbs)... Have you never had a cold and had the Girl take care of you? 80% of cats have had colds and while all of them don't have Girls as nice as yours, remember which side your bread is buttered on, as Teri's mom would say...Hey, maybe you could wrangle some butter out of this!
Yay! We know the winners will be havin' some flyin' fun soon!
ReplyDeleteOh Katie! You & Waffles will waste away! If you can't get your sitter to help, we volunteer our mommy! Congrats to the winners!
ReplyDeletePoor Glogirly, and poor you Katie ! Doesn't have Glogirly's vet a big syringe to make her a magic injection to be very fast cured ? It usually goes like this at the V-E-T, isn't it ?
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners. Poor Katie. Hope Glogirly feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteSue B
Concats to the winners and we sure hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking an auto feeder would save you, Waffles (not that you are focused on him), and Glogirly. She needs her rest, and yeah...I know...you need your food. Of course, you would be forced to only eat dry food for the duration, but you must be tough!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I wan´t to say that I´m really sorry to hear that your dinner isn´t served properly , Katie !
ReplyDeleteThen I say YAYYYYY !
I can´t beleive that I WON ,
I WON I WON I WON the Bird Catcher Pro Wand Toy and all those extra feathers !
XOXO
Concats to the deserving winners! Katie, you can always hang out here while your mom gets her wellness act together again. Yes, even without Waffles. I don't think this place is big enough for all three of us!
ReplyDeleteConcatulations to the winners! We're very sorry that Glogirly is so sick. That is no fun. Purrs and prayers for a full recovery. Soon!
ReplyDeleteKatie, we think you should quit whining, slip some cat treats onto Glorgirly's bedside table, curl up next to her and go to sleep. Oh, and concats to your winners. They got a great toy. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid and Calista Jo
