Wordless Wednesday: STANDOFF

Hi everyone, Katie here.

I may be wordless today, but Waffles Too has not yet grasped the concept. If he's smart highly doubtful he'll quickly learn what *standoff* means.

Stand. Off.

  1. He'll go too far, and you'll teach him a good lesson!

  2. What! He has an indignent pose to him! How dare he, doesn't he know who you are??

  3. I don't think he looks worried...he looks determined

  4. If he gets full of himself...just remember all it takes is one very well placed whap. You can leave your other 3 paws on the floor. He won't know what hit him.

  5. He looks pretty defiant - good thing we kitties can still practice corporal punishment!

  6. Looks like he's got "aeroplane" ears, Katie. This Waffles boy could be dangerous!

  7. Oh a Mexican Stand-OFF. Yea now who is going to back down? Better be you little ginger guy. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

  9. Yes, he does look worried, but that is an outstanding stand off!

  10. Katie, I don't think the restraining order you got for Waffles Too is working.

  11. Looks like he's a determined little whipper snapper. I think you have your paws full :)

  13. Ooo Katie! If this isn't a good plot for a kitty Western, I don't know what is! You both look SO determined! MomKatt says there is a lot of "dramatic tension" in that photo.

I suggest a 10-gallon hat on your head & a Mexican sombrero on Waffles Two! MOL

  14. Whoa! Katie has her cheeks "out of her mouth," as the peeps say before I start biting. They're all puffy so W2 better be careful. The defiant little monster has never backed done from a fight before and isn't gonna let a GIRL beat him up. TICKETS! GET YOUR TICKETS TO THE FIGHT OF THE CENTURY only at stunningkeisha.com. Starting this weekend, I'll be scalping er selling tickets to this event. You don't want to miss it!

  16. That first photo really captures your expressive face, Katie. And, I've seen that look before.

Waffle Too is trying very hard to be a little toughie (hence the airplane ears), but he knows you are a lot bigger than him. For now.

  18. I LOVE Katie's expression!! I think Waffles Too is purrfect for her because he looks gutsy and like he will definitely hold his own!

  19. That Waffles is one tough little guy (which is very good thing in this case)!
Couldn't see Katie's ears but I'm guessing they're still upright. Love the bemused expression on her face.

  26. I keep telling myself that I should wait to read the updates and read them all at once! Unfortunately, I keep getting sucked in because I just *have* to know what's going on.... :-)

We've had a zillion kittens going in and out of our house (fosters), so my cats show absolutely no emotion to newcomers. That said, my solution is to get about 5 or 6 more little ones to shake things up a bit more. Then, when the newbies go to their forever homes, it will be a relief to only have Waffles Too! :-)

  27. Ooooooh! We do that too! Time for a whapfest!

  28. Poos Waffles Too...just not sure how to act around you, Katie...be gentle with the kitten! ;)

  29. Katie, I think Waffles may really know--even tho he could be in denial--WHO really pours the syrup your house!!

  35. Stand down, and then stand up for his kitty self. With 5 felines, I see that one quite a few times every day. Peaceful co-existance, but would that be so much fun?

  36. This brings back so many memories of when Benjamin Bunny was a brand new member of the family. Gracie had to teach him the rules too.

  37. I'd recognize that stink-eye look anywhere. Hope the kitten learns to as well...and soon!
