Waffles Too: Katie's Reaction

Hi everyone, Katie here.

You may have noticed my absence from the previous day's post. I needed a little time to myself to gather my thoughts. By now the whole blogosphere has heard the News of Waffles Too, the newest *addition* to MY townhouse. Funny...no one bothered to ask ME about taking in this so-called squatter.

I've been seeing a lot of THIS for the past few days. The door to MY room that I rarely use - closed.

I should have known something was up what with all the cleaning and organizing. I was already on high-alert when Glogirly STOLE my extra scratching post and shoved it in the upstairs bedroom. MY bedroom. Ok, one of my bedrooms. Cherished toys I haven't touched in years appeared out of nowhere, neatly placed in the room. Even another litter box. AS IF I'd ever use a box upstairs. My litter room is downstairs, where it should be.

A glimmer of hope shone when she grabbed the PTU and left without me in it. Surely she was throwing it away.

It wasn't to be.

Enter, Waffles Too.

Just look at him, VIOLATING my post.

He's locked up in MY room, playing with MY discarded toys, scratching on MY often ignored scratching post, sleeping in MY never did like that stupid bed and using a litter box UPSTAIRS. The horror of it all.  The only part of this whole thing I approve of is the "locked up" part.

Oh, and did I tell you?  He smells. And keeps mewing the same thing over and over and over and OVER.

He's a maniac. Ill mannered, lacking in basic vocabulary skills, loud mouth, maniac.

A Letter From Waffles

WAFFLES:  Deer Sir...um, I mean Kati– um no... deer Boss,

Sorry I'm kinda nervous. Waffles here.

Um, I regret to reform you that I am turning in my letter of resignature.  Thank you for the popportuniy to serve you Catbucks, help with your blog and be your assist tent. I have excepted a position with the FBI. Wally the Island Police Cat put in a good mew for me and the FBI peoples– I mean cats, cuz it's the Feline Bureau, think I'd be a reely good undercovers cat.

I promiss to be reely careful on my missions. And I promiss I'll come back to visit.  And I promiss when I come, I'll bring your favorite Catbucks.

I found a able suit– I mean a suitable, assist tent to replace me. He reely needs a good job and a nice home. Glogirly said it was ok for him to move in so he'd never have to live in a shelter cage again. Pleez go easy on him while he climbs– I mean learns the ropes.

Um, he's still pretty little and doesn't say much. But he promisses to be a reely good assist tent.

So um, Boss? I guess this is it.

Um, here's your new assist tent. I thought it would be easiest if you just call him Waffles Too.

Wednesday Waffles EXCLUSIVE

Hello everyone, I'm Wolf Blitzer and you're in the Situation Room.

Sources indicate Waffles, the mysterious ginger cat seen in and around GLOGIRLY.com, is planning on making an historic announcement sometime tomorrow.

It's not yet known if there will be an official press conference, or even if press will be allowed near the popular cat blog. Blogosphere pundits are busy speculating what the orange mystery cat will say.

CATHY KEISHA:  Yo! This ghetto kitty doesn't spill for no one! Na mean?

WALLY:  As a pawfficer of the law, I am not at liberty to comment on this particular situation.

RUMBLES:  Despite our guerilla tactics, the Waffles Task Force has not received any credible leads to date. I anxiously await tomorrow's announcement. ANXIOUSLY.

ZOEY:  Frankly, I've never understoood the fascination with this...what do you call him?  "Waffles?"  What kind of name is THAT?









WOLF:  Clearly you won't want to miss tomorrow's highly anticipated announcement. Until then, I'm Wolf Blitzer.

Pillow Party

Hi everyone, Katie here.

A few weeks ago I was visiting my fashionista friend Allie, from A Tonk's Tail...you know, the one with the pawsome pink mani-pedi? Well she turned me onto this fabulous find from Eclectic Pillows. When I saw that Sara Klassen, the artist behind the pillows, had actually used MY own profile to create them...well I just knew that Glogirly had to have them. And it didn't hurt they matched her new rug.



The pillow covers are made from a hip midcentury modern upholstery fabric with a leatherette kitty silhouette applique. The kitty even has whiskers. They're almost as beautiful as me. Almost.

Sara has a cute little Etsy Shop with some black & white kitty pillows we also adore.

Now if I can just move these pillows to a chair that doesn't spin around every time I jump onto it. I've never been much for amusement park rides.

Little Debbie Keeps On Truckin'

While the rest of the world mourns the loss of the Hostess Twinkie and it's cream filling, we're all celebrating Little Debbie. In fact we're thinking of starting a petition to rename the beloved snack cakes 'Little Glogirly.'  Long live the Swiss Cake Rolls, Cod bless our Nutty Bars and mitts off our Honey Buns!

The Cleaner

WAFFLES:  Um, hi everyone it's Waffles here again.

Yesterday we were showing off our new magic social buttons for Facebook, Twitter and stuff. Today, the Boss wants me to show you some other cool changes we made to our blog.

KATIE:  MY blog.

WAFFLES:  Um, yeah. MY blog. Ok, so Glogirly thought we should clean up around here and get rid of some of the clatter.

KATIE:  Clutter, Waffles. Clutter.

WAFFLES:  So we picked out a new Blogger template that was less clattery than the one we had before. Glogirly says she likes this one because it's simple city really makes the graphics and our logo pop.

KATIE:  Simplicity, Waffles. Simplicity.

WAFFLES:  Um, she says it's perfect for showing off a blog header with a trans parent background. I'm not sure if the trans parent is a mom header or a dad header, but either way I think it looks kind of cool.

KATIE:  *rolls eyes*

WAFFLES:  Another thing we did was take this push broom here to the sidebar. We got rid of as much extra stuff as we could. Our awards--

KATIE:  MY awards, Waffles.

WAFFLES:  My awards were taking up lots of space and they were all different shapes and colors so we made a special PAGE for them. While we were at it we gave ALL of our pages a once over to make sure they were clean and consist ant looking. ANT?!? Do we have ANTS???

KATIE:  Consistent, Waffles. It means they look similar in design and layout.




WAFFLES:  We took the advice of some of the professionals Glogirly and Flat Katie met at BlogPaws and Barkworld and we made sure we had a Contact Page and a PR Page too. So if you're curious, you can take a peek through any of them. All the tabs are now in black at the top, right underneath my header.

KATIE:  Waffles, is your picture in the header?

WAFFLES:  Um, no?

KATIE:  So it must not be YOUR header.

WAFFLES:  Um, yes?  I mean no. I mean yes?

KATIE:  Since we had some room in our sidebar after the clean up, we added in Blogger's gadget for "Popular Posts" and set it up so it picks 5 posts from the previous 7 days. We renamed it "This Week's Posts." Now our friends that only have time to stop by every few days can quickly see if there's something they'd like to catch up on.

WAFFLES:  The Boss tole me to tell you if you need any help cleaning you should just send us an EMAIL. The Boss also tole me to tell you we don't do windows.

KATIE:  That's right, Waffles. We're Mac cats. ; )

Getting Social With Waffles

WAFFLES:  Um, hi everyone.  Waffles here.

The Boss tole me to tell you about our new social buttons and gadgets today. The Boss has been studying how to make buttons work for like forever. She finally cracked the code and decided to spiff up the blog with some new gadgety things and a different Blogger template.

She said she wanted to clean the place up.  I tole her I've been really careful in the litterbox. In fact we have a NVR Miss Litter Box so I harley ever miss.

The Boss and Glogirly got a new profile graphic for the sidebar and I got my own too. You should click on mine to find out even more about me.

Our new social buttons are right at the top where everyone can see them. They're like magic. You just hover over them and a pop up thing pops up to say "Like Us" (as if you didn't already) and "Tweet Us" and...well, you get the idea. Then you click on one and are magically teleported over to our Facebook Page, Twitter Profile, YouTube Channel, Pinterest Profile or Prescription Page.

KATIE:  SUBscription Page, Waffles! SUB-SCRIPTION!

WAFFLES:  Pubscription. Um, so if you haven't already, you should click all our magic buttons and get social with us.

Did you know we can make custom buttons just for you so you can get social too? The nice cats at GLOGIRLY DESIGN are standing by.

Sorry Kitties

Hi everyone, Katie here.

I'm sorry to tell you that "Katie Is...ACCUSED" will not be winning any of the cool prizes or awards in The Friskies competition. No golden kitty, no fame and fortune, just a few cans of Fancy Feast.  Now hold on...don't go all crazypants. We have something much more important. We have YOU.

We want to thank all of our wonderful friends for voting & sharing & laughing with us.  We do this stuff for fun and we do it for all of you to enjoy. And for that we feel like winners.

Out of respect for the other entrants, we ask that you please keep this news to yourselves and not share it on Facebook or Twitter until after the awards show later today.  It was really important to Glogirly and I though, that you hear it from us first. 

Even though we had lots and lots of votes & love, the judges went another way.

I think they were probably lost and didn't bother to stop and ask for directions. 

But the good news is I'm out of the slammer now. 

Exonerated of all charges. I just might keep these handcuffs. 

Allie says if I add a little bling, they'll make very stylish fashion accessories.
