Hi everyone, Katie here.
You may have noticed my new blog header. I figure that since Waffles Too is apparently here to stay, I had better make him part of the action in order to keep the peace. Fine. Just as long as I'm bigger, I'm prettier and I'm smarter.
Many of you have expressed concern that I may be rolling over, wimping out on showing the orange boy who's in charge. Let me assure you this is not the case. The camera can't move quickly enough to capture my swift right hook or the impact of my left whap. They are indeed there. The boy-beast knows. He still tests me everyday, but he gets a little smarter everyday too.
In the meantime, we're getting our easy on this fine Sunday. The last Sunday of 2012. Still, I hesitate to completely close my eyes.
He might need eyes in the back of his head. Um...just saying...
ReplyDeleteSometimes this close is close enough.
ReplyDeleteThe look says it all, Katie. Have a happy Sunday anyway. XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteNew year, new kitteh
ReplyDeleteWaffles Too is definitely getting his Easy this Sunday. Though we can't see you taking it easy (your raised hackles are a dead giveaway!), Katie.
ReplyDeleteI like the new header Katie! It looks great!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! I would not want to be the subject of your bad thoughts, Katie!
ReplyDeleteThat partial back hackle shows you are having a hard time taking it "Easy", Katie. But it is nice to see you both sharing a piece of furniture.
ReplyDeleteAny progress is better than no progress, Katie. One day you'll have him trained as the perfect servent kitty to see to your furry needs!
ReplyDeleteLovely header. Methinks you are succumbing to his charms? Maybe just a little. Have a super Sunday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Pretty soon love, that smudge of mustard will be the one who better start sleeping with his eye open!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Ms Stella O Houligan
You still can't quite believe it, can you Katie?
ReplyDeleteHe will learn to stay alert around you! Have a great Sunday!
ReplyDeletePea-eyed monster indeed. Katie, some of the kitties here enjoy the flavor of peas--we predict you two will be washing each other by Spring.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice having a brudder to snuggle with when it is cold. ~Scylla
ReplyDeleteYou're both so cute! I bet you're going to make a great team in the end.
ReplyDeleteImagine: having someone help you steal treats and also... someone you can blame for any mischief of yours ;-)
Purrs
Awww.... I can't believe I'm going to say this, Katie, but Waffles Too is not so bad... I've actually grown quite fond of the little monster at our house and enjoy the renewed spunk and energy he has brought... maybe in 2013 you will start to feel the same, although if that last picture of you is any indication, maybe not!! xoxo - Zoey
ReplyDeleteWe are relieved to hear you won't let Waffles Too push you out of the way. You're the spotlight!
ReplyDeleteOink oink,
Katie and Coccolino the mini pig
Yeah, it looks like that orange guy isn't going anywhere, Katie. Best for you to take another approach and make him your slave. :)
ReplyDeleteKatie there is NO DOUBT in my mind that you are showing Waffles Too who is the boss! you will ALWAYS be the QUEEN!
ReplyDeleteAll in all you are doing terrific pretty Katie! I know it isn't easy for you, but you really are doing great!
ReplyDeleteKatie, the expression on your face says it all!
ReplyDeleteWe think you are doing a GREAT job, Katie! Waffles Too totally knows who is boss. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Hi Katie, we like you. In fact, my dad says that you're black and white - just like me. There's three boy dogs in this house and one girl dog. We've learned a long time ago not to mess with my sister. She has very sharp teeth and she isn't going to take too much stupid stuff before she lunges and attacks us. There's a message here - lay down the ground rules now and you'll have a way better life, because Waffles Too will know what not to do and leave you alone. Oh btw, a smack on Waffle's head head just because you feel like it will keep the little rascal in line and always wary. Trust me, it works.
ReplyDeleteKatie as I said before, I was a wreck wondering when Chubby was going to leave. I worried for one year, its been 4. He is here to stay. Its called acceptance
ReplyDeleteLily (& Benny)
hee hee! From now on Katie, you'll proly need to get used to sleeping with one eye open. We like your new header. We almost missed Waffles Too off to the side :D great way to work him in!
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, HOllie

ReplyDeleteyou to will get along and all will be good xx Speedy
ReplyDeleteWaffles Too might need eyes in the back of his head too :)
ReplyDeleteYou really look lika a grompy old lady in the last picture , Katie *mol*
I love the last picture! You'd better keep an eye on that little monster--he might pounce when you have your eyes closed!
ReplyDeleteMiss Katie it's best to stay on guard, you just never know!
ReplyDeleteyes, one opened at all times. Do not let him lull you to sleep with his kitten cutes. Be ever vigilant!

Oh, Katie, we look away for half a second and there is a Kitten Invasion?? Wow. He is awfully cute though.
ReplyDeleteOne day, eight years ago, I *was* the orange Kitten Invasion. The Kitteh Who Came Before really wasn't pleased either. - Toby.
Katie,
ReplyDeleteNon of us girlcats were happy when Raz came to live here but, amazingly, we're all started to LIKE him. Odd, we know. The little guy just is sooo cute. We're pretty sure Waffles Too is going to have the same effect on you!
The Florida Furkids
Katie, your hackles are up in that bottom photo. And Waffles Too is sleeping the sleep of the pseudo-innocent.
ReplyDeleteYour fur looks a bit spiky. I still think you're upset. Just meowin'.
ReplyDeleteThose darn kittens! They looks cute, but boy they is a pain!
ReplyDeleteKisses
Katie, darling, I am furry impressed with your tolerance of W2. My Human thinks he is "adorable"; I myself have no opinion one way or the other. You are a Good and Brave girl, Katie!
