We were getting ready to post the final epilogue today when the phone rang. It was Dorothy. She had some very sad news about Glogirly's cousin, Sharon.
Sharon passed away this morning at the hospital in San Luis Obispo. It was very unexpected and so very sad for her family. We introduced you to Sharon in Chapter 8 and titled that chapter, "A Gift." When Sharon telephoned Glogirly after reading the letter to her mother, Jeanette, that's exactly what she called Glogirly. A gift. A gift to their family, filling a hole that had been empty for so many years.
Sharon was a gift to Glogirly. Hers was the first voice she heard. She was the first to open her arms, changing the course of Glogirly's life forever.
