Dear Glogirly,
The cat sitter is doing a pretty good job. Even though she's still keeping the food locked up, she's got a fiancé guy with a great lap. The cat sitter says I like him because he's a fishmonger. I don't know what that is, but he smells REALLY good and his fingers taste like tuna. And salmon.
The Boss doesn't think the cat sitter can tell time though on account of we didn't get our 5 o'clock dinner until 5:07pm yesterday.
Are you coming home soon? The Boss is antsy.
Love,
Waffles
KATIE: Antsy??? Did you see the clock, Waffles? Dinner is LATE. A whole seven minutes late. We're going to starve.
WAFFLES: What should we do, Boss?
KATIE: Well you could start by pacing back and forth.
WAFFLES: Does that really work?
KATIE: It can't hurt. It's not like we can say, "Hey Cat Sitter! Did you forget something? Dinner time was seven, now EIGHT minutes ago." Tick tock, Waffles.
WAFFLES: Is it working?
Thanks for visiting us while Glogirly & Gloman are vacationing in Iceland. Our cat sitter is taking great care of us... though the food portions are a bit scant. Nothing a few sad and pleading looks can't take care of though.
We hope you're enjoying our vacation postcards.
We'll be back to our regular programming soon!

I think your cat sitter should get docked for every minute dinner is late!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Summer. That's the only way us humans learn
ReplyDeleteA month or so ago when all the British cats were tweeting about #CatsAgainstBrexit or #CatsForBrexit, Parker blogged a short piece on #CatsAgainstLateBrexfast. Although it was sometimes difficult to make her wait for 6:00 when sunrise was at 5:30. (She actually let me sleep until 6:30 one morning this week.)

ReplyDeleteSeven minutes late? That's like a gazillion years! She should definitely give you a little extra to make up for the non-punctuality :)
ReplyDeleteHey, smart move, Katie. Ticking and tocking seems to keep a certain pain of a brother busy!
ReplyDeleteOh my heavens. Did you lose a whole ounce?
ReplyDeleteWe agree with Summer too..... Starving is not fun!
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks for you because I know what it is like to have a per sitter. I always wondered if she was really going to come or would she forget one day totally!
ReplyDeleteWhat's keeping her with the food?!?! Sheesh!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can add some meowing to that pacing. LOL.

Come home, Glogirly! Everything is going to heck back at the Townhouse....
ReplyDeleteIs there anything more sad than the sight of poor Waffkes ticking and tocking? I agree with Summer too- dock the cat sitter for every minute- no, every 30 seconds. A minute is a really long time to a cat. I hope things are better for you today. How many sleeps til GLOGIRLY comes home?
ReplyDeleteSeven minutes late is unacceptable ! Good staff is really hard to find... Purrs
ReplyDeleteyou guys are a tough crowd....though that fiance sounds nommy
ReplyDeleteWe are sending you a lick pick to get the foodables
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
I'm surprised Waffles didn't think The fiance was the finance guy..
ReplyDeleteThe cat sitter should be fired for being late with dinner! Forcing Waffles and Katie to starve like that is totally unacceptable! In seven minutes, they could have become skin and bones! ;D
ReplyDelete5:07pm!!!! What is the cat sitter thinking!! That is chaos! Lol!!
ReplyDeleteYou guys wouldn't make it at our house...we don't have regularly scheduled mealtime! Mudpie eats when she's hungry...and not a moment before!
ReplyDeletePoor kitties, you could starve.
ReplyDeleteAbuse! Your meals should not be late! Ever. Maybe the fish guy can slip you some extra tuna or salmon.
ReplyDeleteI once frew up cos TW few me dinner late.
ReplyDeleteI am sure Waffles is looking thinner in each picture!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should get extra food for each minute your meal is late, Katie and Waffles!
