WAFFLES: Hey Boss! Nice helmet.
KATIE: Nice goggles, Waffles.
WAFFLES: So, Boss? What's a siege and why do I have to go under it?
KATIE: Didn't you notice Glogirly moving ALL the furniture yesterday? She's got the whole Townhouse turned upside-down. There's dressers in the kitchen, office furniture in the bathrooms...
WAFFLES: And did you see my scratcher? It's sitting on the TOILET!!! It's super cool.
KATIE: Well I hope the lid is closed.
WAFFLES: So I still don't get what a siege is. Or WHO Siege is? Maybe he's coming over for dinner!
KATIE: You WISH. All of the carpeting is being cleaned today. There's going to be strangers with giant hoses traipsing through the Townhouse, probably touching all of our stuff. Lots of loud equipment and banging. Word is you and I are going to be locked in the downstairs junk room.
WAFFLES: TOGETHER???
KATIE: *sigh* Yes, together.
WAFFLES: And I thought my scratcher on top of the toilet was cool!!!
WAFFLES: Bring on the SIEGE!!!
LAST DAY TO ENTER!!!

Well at least you'll be out of the way of the sucking monsters and stuff! I would hate that. Fortunately for me, all the carpet cleaning was done when I was gone!
ReplyDeleteOoh dear *'laughs * The twosome hide out from the cleaning team :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck guys!!!
Marjorie, Miranda, Silver and Harvey
Don't get sucked up! That would NOT be good.
ReplyDeleteWe be nominatin' you every day
Good luck! Don't get sucked up!
ReplyDeleteYou two will have to work to make da townhouse all furry again.
Aw man, Katie, that blows! And even my human has the sense to lock me and Binga up separately when there is stuff going on that requires us kitties to be locked up.
ReplyDeleteBOL
ReplyDeleteWe hope the siege doesn't last long...for Katie's sake.
ReplyDeleteAllegra and Ruby think the vacuum monster is scary enough. They can't imagine having to deal with what you two are about to endure! I hope Glogirly has plenty of Stress Stopper for both of you.
ReplyDeleteOh dear....we're glad we don't have carpet...that sounds scary!!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
Such adventure---hmm, sounds loud tho--do you guys get treats cuz of this disruption??
ReplyDeleteWow, the way Waffles talks about it, we're kind of hoping WE can be under siege, too! :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though, we hope the carpet cleaning goes smoothly. Hugs to you all.
Waffles - dude....we had those carpet people here. it was bad - mom got all paranoid about the carpet, and the noise was horrible and everything smelled weird for elebenty billion years
ReplyDeleteyou will have SO much work to do when they leave: getting your scent back on the carpets and also your fur. hope you are up to the task....can't wait to read about how it all goes!
ReplyDeleteYikes! But just think of all the fun you're going to have helping Glogirly get all the stuff back in it's right place.
ReplyDeletePurring you two survive the siege!
ReplyDeleteWhen those women are bored there is always trouble
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
Glogirly is a brave woman, cats and carpeting living together. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteOh my, what a day for everyone! We hope it has no novel worthy incidents ;-)
ReplyDeleteWaffles you are always up for a good challenge!
ReplyDeleteOh dear! We'll be purring for all of you today. MOL!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute one today, Katie (and Glogirly)!
ReplyDeleteoh dear! That means when they are done you'll be able to re-rub all that clean carpet with your furrs!!
ReplyDeleteNicce!
xoxo
Ms. Stella O'Houligan
hope it goes fast. Never fun having to move everything.
ReplyDeleteSue B
Oh, oh : good luck ! You'll have a lot of work after the invaders journey : fur to shed, your own smell to put again everywhere, ... Purrs
ReplyDeleteBe brave little Soldiers..
ReplyDeleteOh noooo! We had the scary rug sucky people here a couple months ago to do the rug and sofa. Having visitors is one thing, but having visitors who drag enormous, loud hoses through the house is another. We sympathize with both of you.
ReplyDeleteOh no! That sounds as bad as when they cleaned my duck work. You got ear plugs with that helmet, Katie?
ReplyDeletehope it all went swimmingly, well...maybe swimmingly wasn't the appropriate word with suds and water!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...we're going to definitely need to get our carpets done too. Particularly as "poopy pants" Jetta had an accident.
ReplyDeleteHave fun in the closet with your Siege you two!
ReplyDeleteThe goggles and helmets are priceless. We think slickers and boots also may be the order of the day. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteKatie, you may be glad of that helmet if you are going to be locked up with Waffles.
ReplyDeleteUh oh! It sure is a lot of work just to get the carpets clean =/
ReplyDeleteRats. I missed being able to enter for the Cat Ball.
