Counting Ants

KATIE:  So Waffles, is she done yet?



WAFFLES:  Um I don't think so, Boss.



KATIE:  The Townhouse is a mess. Stacks of papers EVERYWHERE. This is NOT acceptable. I have standards, you know. 

WAFFLES:  Who's Stan, Boss. And why do you have his turds?

KATIE:  We've barely been on Facebook, we're total slackers on visiting our friends and their blogs, and the only things tweeting around here are the brave birds that think it's finally spring. ALL WEEK she's been working on taxes. In fact, I don't think Gloman even went to bed last night. Something about a meeting with an accountant this morning.



WAFFLES:  Ants??? I can count ANTS!!!

    My human has been trying to get her ant to tell her what is owed on some of the tax returns she worked on so she can get the money together and she can't even get an answer (she is responsible for four returns this year). So she is kind of going nuts too.

    The peeps seem to find this not exactly the most wonderful time of the year. We kind of like all the stacks of paper, but it doesn't go well when we participate in this particular activity.

    My peeps haven't started their taxes yet either. And our tax agency have shut down their on-line filing because of some "heart-worm" problem about security. My dad said that he better get a copy of the tax software - oh the joys of taxes and self-employed professionals.

    Don't fret, Mom had to erase her hard drive yesterday and re-install efurrything, and now nothing works including our e-mail. Commenting on other blogs doesn't even seem to work, but we are trying it again here. Cross your paws, and look out for the those ants!
