KATIE: Waffles, what do you think you're doing?
WAFFLES: Nothing.
KATIE: Well you're doing nothing awfully close to me. On my blanket no less.
WAFFLES: But I like your blanket.
KATIE: What's wrong with your blanket?
WAFFLES: Nothing.
KATIE: Except for the fact that it's not my blanket, right?
WAFFLES: This isn't your blanket? So it must be my blanket then.
KATIE: Waffles?
WAFFLES: It's ok Boss. You can lay on my blanket.
KATIE: This IS my blanket.
WAFFLES: Wow...the Boss really takes my blanket seriously.
Wait, What???
Today's photos are 100% real. Promise. They've not been altered in any way. Last night while Glogirly was binge watching Netflix, Katie curled up beside her on the cushy blanket. All of a sudden, Waffles decided he was going to join in. Katie's ears perked up and there may have even been a little bit of an audible protest, but she was just too comfortable to move or even defend her space.
The camera was out of reach so Glogirly had to ever-so-carefully slide off the sofa and tippy toe her way to it, all the while holding her breath. After all, who was going to believe Katie and Waffles lounging on the sofa together without photographic evidence?
See...you barely believe it now, don't you?
They are almost....touching!
ReplyDeleteThat Colorado air must be good for them.
ReplyDeleteWell, I have to say, the look of guilt on Waffles' face is awfully telling!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing!
ReplyDeleteTHUD !!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe pained look on Katie's face speaks volumes!

Believe it, cats are pushy. Had a similar incident here over mom's TV chair, when I decided I wanted to get on it too but for some reason my kitty brofur Rhette seems to think it's his chair. Not. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteHas the world ended?!?! Though admittedly, Katie doesn't look too thrilled. :)
ReplyDeletejust remember Katie...if you don't look directly AT him, you can still pretend he isn't there
ReplyDeleteBlankets are neutral territory. :-)
ReplyDeleteWaffles looks a wee bit surprised to be allowed to be there!
ReplyDeleteIt is Happy Siblings Day

It is amaing and wonderful. Another step in the right direction. I bet there will come a day when the two will be cuddling on a blanket - maybe next winter.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a wonderful thing to see. This means there is hope for Molly Mew and Daedae
ReplyDeleteWaffles's eyes look like he can't quite believe he's getting away with it either!

ReplyDeleteKatie, this move has mellowed you! If we see the two of you snuggling, we'll faint.
ReplyDeleteMaybe these two should go negotiate peace between everybody else that doesn't like someone.
ReplyDeleteWe will just consider that the Switzerland blanket.

ReplyDeleteWell butter my butt and call me a biscuit, will wonders never cease?
