Road Warrior Cats

WAFFLES:  That was a really long road trip, Boss. I'm tired. Are you tired?


WAFFLES:  Boss?

KATIE: I'm busy, Waffles. 

WAFFLES:  You don't look busy. 

KATIE:  Trust me, I'm busy.

WAFFLES:  Aren't you too tired to be busy? 

KATIE:  Busy, in that you can leave me alone now. 


WAFFLES:  You really should gert some rest, Boss.   


Road Warriors
We got an early start on Tuesday and left Colorado about a half hour before the sun said hello. 5:32 am MST to be exact. It was smooth sailing with just a few stops for everyone to stretch their legs and we made it back to Minneapolis at exactly 7:46 pm, CST.

932 miles. 13 hours, 14 minutes.

According to Glogirly -  Katie and Waffles were road trip rockstars. They relaxed in their Sleepypods the WHOLE way. Even Waffles was chill. He sang the song of his people just a couple of times, but for the most part, he was quiet as a mouse.

During a couple of stops, Glogirly let Katie and Waffles out of their pods to explore the car...and the litter box. After taking care of business, Katie hopped right back into her carrier. Waffles was easily coaxed back inside as well.

Glogirly had gotten a great night's sleep and felt really good the whole way. She packed some of her favorite CDs so she could sing the songs of HER people the whole way. And before they all knew it, they were home!

Thank you so much for wishing us safe travels and checking in on our arrival. There were LOTS of naps yesterday. And we wouldn't be surprised if there are a couple today as well.

    We're super impressed at what good travelers Katie and Waffles are! Momma said she can't stand the thought of driving more than to the vet and back with my kitty siblings. Pigeon and Angel Scribbles always sing the song of their people NONSTOP!

    I'm glad you guys made it home so simply! I'm embarrassed to admit I'm a restless car traveler. I complain. A lot. My human has to stop multiple times to let me out and stretch my legs and look out the car window. I purr up a storm every time she does this. Every car trip that is more than a couple of hours (and sometimes less than a couple of hours) is like this. For some reason, I'm fine when we fly.

    So happy you had a successful, uneventful trip. Waffles and Katie certainly are good travelers. Our first cat was a well seasoned traveler too. it's amazing really because I keep hearing cats like their own routine and don't want it up set or like changes. Congratulations to Glogirly for handling all hte driving too. M said she probably could not have made that trip without another driver along to help. Good to hear from you and know you are all okay.
