Trendy Pet's Whisker Stress Free Dish
We've all been there. Digging to the bottom of the bowl for those last tasty morsels of food. We may as well be digging to China. There's just no easy way to get to them without causing undue whisker stress. For awhile, I was eating my dinner off a flat plate. It was great for my whiskers, but about half my food would slip off the back onto the floor. Sure, the 5 second rule applies, but I'm a lady. I have manners you know.
The elegant curve of the Whisker Stress Free Dish is the purrfect combination of plate and bowl. Flat enough to be friendly to whiskers, but with enough of a curve to contain even the crumbliest of food.
As Beautiful as it is Functional
Mealtime was never so beautiful. The zen-inspired base comes in black or white and looks just like wood, though it's actually made from BPA free plastic. That makes it super easy to clean, plus it's water/rot resistant and won't split like wood.
The gracefully curved ceramic plate is gloss white and has a very high quality look and feel to it. There's a slight ridge on the bottom of the plate that fits into the base, keeping it firmly in place with no tipping or slipping. The weight of the plate keeps the base from sliding too, even on our hardwoods. Then when you're done eating, the plate just lifts right off for easy cleaning. It's dishwasher safe too.
The feeder sits at 4" tall and the plate measures approximately 8" x 6".

ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, yes! Brulee definitely experiences whisker stress. She prefers a flat dish, but really makes a mess because she eats her food by picking it up with her tongue (which is a Persian thing). We'd love to win one of these dishes.
Neither of my seniors, NeeNee and Moo, would eat nearly as fast as Waffles but they'd love a raised feeder!

Al of my cats are seniors and could certainly benefit from eating from this special dish. I never thought about their having whisker distress but it makes sense. The dish is beautiful, It sure beats the paper plates I am currently using.

ReplyDeleteWe have three cats and while our youngest, Arata (who, by the way, has been channeling Waffles lately since he discovered he just LOVES chicken) doesn't seem to have any issues with his whiskers while eating, our other two cats - Koneko and Moko - do. I really love the style of this bowl, too. I love things with an Oriental feel. All of our five dogs and three cats have Japanese names. We even used to have a Guinea Pig named Hachi!

ReplyDeleteI definitely have whisker stress. I only eat some of my food when it is in a bowl, but I eat much better if it is on a plate. That feeder looks just awesome! And it is definitely hard reaching down to eat, so having a raised feeder would be wonderful.

ReplyDeleteMy handicapped girl and my boys went through a stage where they seemed to have zero interest in any food I bought, it was very stressful, they had a clean bill of health from the vet. I believe now it was whisker stress. I bought dishes that were similar but not nearly as gorgeous as this and eating habits have returned to normal.
