To the tune of Yellow Submarine by the Beatles
♫♩
In the town
where I was born,
lived a cat,
who failed to see.
That his box,
was just a box.
and not a cardboard,
submarine.
So he sailed,
he hid and played,
Still he dreamt,
he'd sail away,
♫♩
We all live in a cardboard submarine,
cardboard submarine, cardboard submarine.
We all live in a cardboard submarine,
cardboard submarine, cardboard submarine.
What kind of cardboard dreams do YOU have?

Grandma likes to tell the story about how when she was 5, she pretended a great big box was a submarine and played in it in the middle of the "water". The road represented the water. Later she figured out that probably wasn't the best place to hide in a box. Lucky she wasn't hurt!

ReplyDeleteA cardboard submarine would probably disintegrate pretty quickly. We think we'd like to turn our boxes into airplanes so we can get closer to the high flying birdies, and maybe even snag ourselves a few. Waffles, you are super cute in your swim mask and the song is meowvolous. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
