WAFFLES: But Glogirly, I don't want to go home. Can't we just stay on vacation forever???
KATIE: Waffles, that's the smartest thing you've said since we got here. It's going to be really hard to say goodbye to this place.
WAFFLES: Should we give it a going away present?
KATIE: I think the all that kitty litter on the dark blue carpeting is probably present enough.
KATIE: Waffles, now be sure to pack all your toys. Put them in your Sleepypod. You don't want to leave your catnip drumstick behind for the next guests. They could be dogs, you know.
WAFFLES: DOGS???
*60 seconds after we left*
WAFFLES: LA-LA-LAAA! LA-LA-LAAAAAAA!!! ♫♩
Today's Recap
It was SO hard to say goodbye to our vacation villa on the big lake that we called the office and asked for a late checkout. So after breakfast we ALL took one last vacation nap. It's quite possible that Glogirly and Gloman are turning into CATS.
Sadly, it came time to pack up the car and head home. What could've, should've, would've been a peaceful ride back to the city turned into the most annoying and LOUD trip any of us have ever experienced. Not even five minutes down the road, Waffles decided he did NOT want to go quietly. It was so bad in fact, we had to pull over at a rest stop and let him out of his carrier so he could explore the car and make sure everything was a-ok and road ready.
We're home safe and sound now and settling back into life at the Townhouse. I'm sure going to miss those massive sun puddles, the group naps and bossing Waffles around. Oh wait... I am still and will always be... the Boss.

WAFFLES: Uh, excuse me. I can't reach the pedals and the steering wheel at the same time.

ReplyDeleteI bet Waffles was almost as loud as me on my Las Vegas trip last October!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I shouldn't be so proud of that.
Glad you are safely back home from your pawsome vacation !
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Vacations are always over too soon. I'm glad you enjoyed yours so much and that you had a safe (and very...musical) trip home.
ReplyDeleteMan he can SSIIIIIINNNGGGGG!!!
ReplyDeleteHome sweet Home! Safe and sound. I'm so happy!! Poor Waffles, you really didn't want to leave. After awhile you will see that there is no place like home. And I'm sure you will be able to persuade Glogirly and Gloman to go back to the Villa by the Lake. I'm sure Katie the Boss and always,The Boss, will have a say about that too. Welcome back my friends! Xo
ReplyDeleteWe're glad you're safely home, even if it was noisy, & had a PAWsome time!!!
ReplyDeleteWaffles, all of the drivers on the road are thankful you can't reach the pedals and steering wheel at the same time. The road isn't ready for you, even if you're ready for the road!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great vacation youu had. I never get to go on vacation with M and D. You both are so lucky. Thanks for sharing it with is. Tell glogirly she really got so,e great camera shots ps the two of you.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you all had a wonderful time and are safely back home now.
ReplyDeleteWaffles, I went back to the vet on Monday and I didn't sing my warrior songs. It is the first time ever, and mum had to check I was still there.
Me and The Staff loved going with you on this trip AND I'm afraid I've lost her now to that first picture!! She's gone all googoo!! *sigh*
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun time! Waffles, we may join you in that song of our peoples. :)
ReplyDeleteMom is not sure which photo and caption she loves the most. Probably the one of Waffles saying "Dogs?"
ReplyDeletePoor Waffles it must be a boy Tabby thing about singing in the car. Mom's old cat Danny only sang when she turned the radio OFF, guess he liked the music. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful vacation you all had! We enjoyed following your adventures by the lake, and are glad you made it back home safe and sound. Hugs!

ReplyDeleteSasha, Sami, & Saku
So happy you had a wonderful vacation and trip home. Waffles, they do make controls for the pedals that go on the steering wheel. Gloman will have to get paw controls on the car!
ReplyDeletePoor Waff. I’m glad his CATawauling didn’t upset you, Katie. Maybe some orange cat forgot to take his calming collar/melts.
ReplyDeleteMom is wondering if Glogirly has ever tried covering Waffles Sleepypod with a towel. Mom says she'd have to get earplugs if she had to listen to that much signing. It is bad enough having to listen to Mauricio's jabbering all day long. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! ...and we sure thought it would work, but when we gave it a shot, Waffles sang even LOUDER. It wasn't until we pulled over and let him out so he could explore that he finally settled down. : )
DeleteIt's nice of you to sing songs for your family Waffles..but ya gotta tone it down just a little..I'm glad you all had a great vacation..I hope the bathroom ghost didn't go home with you..mol..
ReplyDeleteohhhhhhh Waff. You know, you're showing us why Katie's The Boss, yanno. All that maturity and experience and all. ;-)
