Waffles Wednesday: The Paper Chase

Waffles of Mass Destruction
Hi everybody, Waffles here.

You know how when you really want to chase the feather but there's nobody on the other end of the wand toy?

Or you really want to play fetch but everyone is on their computer and too busy to see you waiting patiently, staring at them?

WAFFLES' GUIDE TO MAKING YOUR OWN FUN

1. Get One of These
They're easy to find. Just look next to the human litter box chair.

2.  Unroll
Be careful. The paper is very fragile.

3.  Ooops!
That's okay. There's LOTS of paper on the roll.

4.  Extra Credit for Chasing
If you let go, the paper will try to roll away.  Bonus points if you can catch it.

5.  Warning: Paper Chase
In extreme situations, the paper will chase you. Do NOT let it catch you. Ever.

Important message from the ROBOCATS:
Don't miss out on a chance to win a Neato Robot Vacuum valued at $599.00! Fun for the whole family...even the CATS!

  1. Waffles, this sounds like a much better plan than my usual: causing so much trouble that my human is forced to stop and play with me! Your method is a lot more instantly gratifying.

  2. Oh Waffles. You remind me of Molly. I got up one morning and thought it snowed in my hallway.

  3. Oh no Waffles, not you too!
We had such high hopes that you wouldn't be a paper mache addict like Princeton....

Oh well, might as well enjoy.
    XOXO

  4. Waffles! You look a little crazed. You know with all of the cats I have had over the years I have never had one do the toilet paper thing. And I have had a LOT of cats.

  5. Waffles, humans have SO MUCH NERVE to say we stole their toy when we know they put it there for us. Really--how could this be anything else but a cat toy!

  15. Wow--you can get the whole roll off! Rolls of paper towels are great fun, too. I think they are the best for kangaroo kicks!

  18. Um, we think Ringo must have read this. This morning, he grabbed the TP out of Rene's hand as she was unrolling it. Yikes!

  19. That's right Waffles we can make toys out of anything!

  20. Hey, Waffles, allow me to offer a suggestion. If you can't grab one of those white rolls, try the kitchen - or an unfinished human project - for an even bigger roll. The humans call them "paper towels". If it's attached to some roller thing, you can just unroll it all day long. And, if it's not, take it out in the middle of the living room, wrap your legs around it, and kick it to pieces! Sooo much fun!

  23. My Catness Waffles you sure do know how to train... er torture a roll of paper

  24. Waffles, what a naughty boy you've been, but any human who makes their TP that accessible should expect that some cat or another will be playing with it. The look on your face in the final photo is priceless. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  26. Hmmmm, I’ve never tried that. Bet TW would stop pretending she’signoring me if I did this. Plus, her TP roll is right on the rim of the tub.

  27. Newton used to do that all the time, Waffles! The humans are pretty relieved (ha, ha) he finally stopped.

  28. Ha,ha,ha Waffles. Reminds of my kitty Baber who lived a long time ago. She loved to bite the paper towels and unroll and chew the toilet paper. You always knew where she had been. LOL.

  29. Mum keeps the paper shut in a cabinet next to the litter chair. No chance for us to have fun.

  30. This is not something I have ever tried!!! I feel that if I did, my days would be numbered! MOL xox

  31. Waffles! I've never had a kitty that has taken to TP. Shredding the newspaper or a catalog, yes...sigh...I guess Glogirly and Gloman are going to have to keep the TP in the same place they keep the chicken treats...
