This Suitcase Smells Like DOG & Airport Security Comic Relief

WAFFLES:  Hey Boss! This suitcase smells funny.

KATIE:  Funny-ha-ha-funny or funny beyond-expiration-date-funny?

WAFFLES:  I don't know. What do expiration dates smell like?

KATIE:  Well I know Glogirly said she was bringing home some special swag from the BarkWorld conference. You don't suppose...

WAFFLES:  You mean like something that BARKS???

KATIE:  She wouldn't DARE. Would she???

WAFFLES: *shrugs shoulders*

KATIE: You better go in. If you don't come back out, it was nice knowing you. *heh, heh...crosses paws*

Airport Security Comic Relief
Glogirly made it home from the conference safe and sound. Apparently it was touch and go for awhile at the airport. While she was going through the giant body x-ray machine in security...you know, the one that looks like a huge tube you walk inside and the rounded glass doors slide shut?

Example of security body scanner.

Well she walked inside and stood on the little yellow footprints and then held her hands up in the air just like the sign inside shows.

All of a sudden a tiny Asian woman, probably about 80 years-old and 4' tall, walked inside with her, holding her hands up high. The door slammed shut and they were both inside. Then there was that awkward "OMG, there's a little old lady in the x-ray machine with me" moment for Glogirly.

If you don't believe us, just ask Sparkle. Her human was there and saw the whole thing.

More To Come On BarkWorld
Be sure to check back...We'll be sharing more fun from the BarkWorld conference. Some cool stuff Glogirly learned, some fun plans she has and a swag giveaway!

  2. So glad you're back! MOL about security. Those machines scare me. I went through one in Toronto and they pulled me over saying I had traces of gunpowder on my hands. Turns out it was traces of the cookie I ate.

That second suitcase is all swag, right?

  8. Glogirly sure gets in trouble when you aren't around to boss her around Katie.

  9. MOL! Did they scan both Glogirly and the little Asian woman at the same time? That sounds like a scifi accident waiting to happen in which Glogirly emerges 4' tall and unexpectedly bilingual...

  10. Maybe the little old lady was scared to go on her own?

We hope Glogirly did not bring a dog home, surely she wouldn't have got that through airport security. They have some standard, you know.

  15. ha ha - what was that little old lady thinking anyway. That thing barely looks large enough to hold one human, not to mention 2 humans.

  24. Anything interesting in the suitcase, Waffles? It's been so long since I've been to the airport that I don't remember any x-ray machine. Interesting situation.

  25. Oh, We saw that little lady at the hotel, but she wasn't swag and was supposed to stay there!

  26. As long as no touchy feely went on, there's no harm, no foul.

  27. Oh my dog. Hopes u both remembered to put deodorant on before sticking your arms up like that.

  28. Did she bring home presents???? What's in the suitcase Waffles?

Mom says, poor Glogirly, bad enough to have to go in the x-ray machine but to have to share it would be worse!

  31. That is the funniest thing to happen! Mum usually ends up having to go in the X Ray machine because the plates in her leg set the scanner off.

  32. LOL...those machines are awkward enough without adding an accidental second human! Really looking forward to hearing more about your experience at BarkWorld!
