Hi everyone, Katie here.
I like shopping. Really I do. As much as I loathe the doorbell-ringing UPS man, he often shows up with something cool for me. A new scratcher, a catnip tomato, even the Furminator wasn't so bad. But when I woke up Saturday morning and sauntered down the steps to my dish, you would not BELIEVE the horror I saw.
A cat-sized clothing boutique. Strangely, everything was my size. Humans dream of stuff like this. But I tell you, this was NO dream.
Trouble ...Trouble
I should have known there was trouble when Glogirly returned home from BlogPaws with the entire Bret Michaels Pets Rock Collection by PetSmart stuffed into a nondescript paper bag. She was all nonchalant about it, but I saw the studs, crosses, skulls, PLEATHER...certainly nothing that looked like a cat toy. Truth be told it's all DOG clothes. Word in the alley is that a cat line is on the horizon. Great. I can't wait. *rolls eyes*
It wasn't until Glogirly and Gloman swarmed me that I saw the cameras and the lighting. I had been ambushed. Looking at the lineup of outfits, their intentions became quickly clear.
So I did what any self-respecting cat would do. I complained, protested, squirmed and then... I negotiated. A full container of freeze dried salmon lay in wait. Fresh, never been opened, and MINE. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and willed it to all be over.

I have many questions. But one in particular haunts me. Where, oh WHERE, is Flat Katie when I need her?

OMC Katie! You posed not once, not twice but FOUR times in front of the mirror is 4 different dresses? Mommy says you look really nice in the pink / black dress. WE think you should rip them all off. MOL.

Ha! Ha! I lucked out - my human did not even know those costumes were there! She came home with a couple of printed shopping bags from the PetSmart booth and that was it. I am SO glad I did not have to wear those outfits (which look like stuff my human would buy in her size).

Rock Star. Now that has potential. My mom only tried to dress me once. As Mrs. Claus. Wig and all! Didn't work, and she never tried again. Well, someone did give me a pink and white t-shirt that was sort of cool. But that silly wig and hat and skirt? She made it as far as the hat. MOL.

I … I … I'm speechless. Is this really Katie or some plush bizarro world Katie? The Katie I know would NEVER let her humans dress her up and would NEVER pose in front of a mirror in those clown clothes. GASP!!! Tw loves the first dress but if'n I had to choose, I'd say you look good in pink. Hmmm, since you're already humiliated, can we get some full frontal views?

You are right about the non-slimming horizontal stripes...WHAT where they thinking!
They gave Coco on of those stripy dresses, but it needs some adjusting to fit her model's body, hahameow!

While I think you are TOTALLY rockin' the fashions Katie, I think that you - like most of the rest of we meowsers prefer to strut our stuff "au naturel" as it were.....My Mom wants to know what medication they administered to you that allowed you to be so calm, cool, and collected during the trying on of the outfits portion of this program!!!! :D :D

ReplyDeleteWell Miss Katie, we think you look purrty hot.....well except for those horizontal stripes, but that is not your fault. We are thinking, however, thatyou need to hold out for more treats than what you did get. After all, it was 4 outfits, shouldn't there be 4 treats?

Third...my fave outfits on you? The pleather is quite "interesting" but I will keep my comments "G" rated lol, the pink horizontal goes beautifully with your fur! The outfits are quite slenderizing Katie!!!

ReplyDeleteMy Geisha is soooo envious. I received my UPS box from Blog Paws last Friday and have had zero time to open it. But I already told her there's no accessories for her. Only new food bowls for outdoor Riverfront cats.
Johnnie Walker is eyeing Katie in the Pink and Pleather. He wants the all leather outfit and to know if Katie will go out on a date with him.
