Hi everyone, Katie here.
Well my girl is actually WORKING this week. Seems she's not been satisfied with the salary and benefit package I've been providing for her blog services as of late. Whatever. Seems she's got some whackadoo excuse about needing to keep me in fresh salmon and her in fresh haircolor and fancy shampoo. Again, whatever.
Since I'm being left to my own devices this week, I've decided to explore a few career opportunities of my own. Self-sufficiency just might keep the salmon swimming up MY river.
Today's Career Spotlight - A Baker
So what do you think? Is this the job for me?

Just another annoying friendly reminder...
Vote GLOGIRLY for Best Blog Post in the 2012 Petties!
You can vote once a day and every time counts. Thanks SO much for your support and your vote. XO
Tell your person to enjoy the work week (and she doesn't need to rush getting back to us either!). I hate it on those weeks when the Woman subs for some practitioner and she's not around as much. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a Pro on the cupcake logo, Katie. We hope Glogirly has a rewarding and productive week!
ReplyDeleteWork CAN be a good thing. I think I remember it....You make a very fetching baker Katie.
ReplyDeleteThe gettin up early part should have been listed twice! HaHaMeow! Happy Monday, Katie! We're off to see the Pettie wizard...
ReplyDeleteKatie, why be a baker? I think a butcher is a lot better profession for a kitty!
ReplyDeleteWe agree with Sparkle. Katie the Butcher. MOL.
ReplyDeleteWe like Sparkle's idea too. Imagine all the fish you could get being a butcher.
ReplyDeleteBut we do like your baker logo.
Purrs,
Cindi Lou & The Kitty Krew
Yeah, baking seems like way too much work. Except, your cupcake logo is so cool!
ReplyDeletei dunno.... you look like the cupcake from hell!!!! ACK!
ReplyDeleteWe do not think baker is the right job for you it requires (meowing very quietly) actual work.
ReplyDeletePerhaps taste tester would work out better. What do you think?
...drooling.... salmon buttercream...
ReplyDeleteLove your logo, but we thinks you would not enjoy the extra grooming time needed to remove the flour from your beautiful fur. BLECH!
We agree that the logo is great but you lost us on "gotta get up too early" Also, being afraid of the mixer could be problematic!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids and Lexi
We see no problem with getting up early, since we get our human out of bed at or before 4AM every day, year-round. But the apron and hat would have to go.
ReplyDeleteCon: You can't always taste all of the ingredients, because it makes some people mad.
ReplyDeleteIDK, you kinda rock that hat, darling... I think a chef would be a great choice.. especially a pastry chef... all that milk and cream.... yummy!
ReplyDeleteShelle, Milo, Dixie and Newby,

Cupcake Katie, you are full of win and awesome!
ReplyDeleteUmm, baking sounds like a lot of work. I would hold out for Sushi Chef.
ReplyDeleteHope Glogirly has a good week at work. Maybe it's the beginning of good things happening to her. Paws crossed.
ReplyDeleteBake us up a catnip pizza!
ReplyDeletehope glogirly enjoys work this week, nice idea katie but alot of hard work and if you're like meyou could end up burning your paws,Speedy's mum
ReplyDeleteCupcake Katie IS a catchy title...
ReplyDeleteCatnip Cupcakes!
Katie, you should make CupCATS! Fur-flavored delicacies for the discriminating feline. Just IMAGINE what you could use for sprinkles...
ReplyDeleteWhaaa? She can't be working! I won't let her! Nah, don't think you're a baker. Specially not a pupcake baker! Try a nurse since Home Health Care seems to be the only industry that's hiring.
ReplyDeleteI think maybe the cons outweigh the pros on this one, Katie. And there's one other con you didn't mention... when my peep #1 makes bread, she gets flour EVERYWHERE. You might think I'm exaggerating when I say 'everywhere' but I'm not. She looks as silly as can be with it in her hair, on her clothes, on her face... like I said, everywhere. We cats never like to look silly, you know. We're all far too elegant for such nonsense. purrs
ReplyDeleteHa , Ha , Ha :)
ReplyDeleteSorry for laughing , Katie.
I think you shall give it a trye in the kitchen though !
xoxo from Charlie Rascal
P.S I have voted for you today too <3
So what you are saying is on balance cupcakes are not for you! I would agree .... on balance ;)
ReplyDeleteCupcakes are so chic right now Katie and we love the idea of Cupcake Katie!!!

I think you should do the napping and let the glogirly provide the salmon!
ReplyDeleteDear Katie,
ReplyDeleteFor me, the hassle with baking is turning the knobs! That is hard to do with no thumbs. And those oven mitts, they is very awkward! But yous DOES look cool in the hat!
Kisses
Nellie
I think if I could dip my paw into the batter, it would be worth it to get up early.
ReplyDeletehow about a fishergirl?
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Nothing wrong with being a baker, Katie! Oh, wait, what? We have to get up early? Never mind, then.
ReplyDeleteWe think your hat looks great. Of course, we may be biased. Our Moosey dressed up as "Chef Moosey" last Halloween. :)
Congrats on the job! More catnip for Katie and how about baking catnip cupcakes?
ReplyDeleteAnother pro is that you get to lick the bowl Katie.
ReplyDeleteEven though the oven is toasty we think the mixer trumps oven. Stay outta the kitchen!
