WAFFLES: Uh, 1, 2. 3... chicken?
KATIE: Waffles, you do know that chicken doesn't come after three don't you?
WAFFLES: Oh yeah... it comes after four, right? Wait, seven?
KATIE: Waffles, just tell me what you're trying to count.
WAFFLES: I'm just counting how many sleeps until Glogirly comes home.
KATIE: You can't possibly count that high Waffles.
Glogirly's Trip Update
Today was only day 4 of Glogirly's out-of-town adventure. She's got quite a few more days to go! She's helping to set up (and make pretty-prety) the Department 56 Showroom at the Las Vegas World Market Center. It is the largest showroom complex in the world (5 million square feet) for the home and hospitality furnishings industry and will be hosting their next show later this month.
The show is a chance for brands to present their newest product lines to buyers and retailers in a beautiful and visually exciting environment. Glogirly is part of a small team setting up all of the 2016 Christmas and holiday merchandise collections for Dept 56. Think lots of Santas, ornaments, villages and Christmas decor.

She's working in the C building, which we're pretty sure stands for CATS. *wink*

ReplyDeleteWere pretty sure Waffles thinks "C" stands for chick-hen. If Waffles knew he would be missing his Glogirly, he would cry on Katie's shoulder (like she would let him get that close). Our Human like's a lot of Dept. 56 Christmas items, esp. their ornaments. Don't worry Waffles & Katie. Glogirly will be back home before you know it. Maybe Katie can teach Waffles how to count between now & then
