Hi everyone, Katie here.

I know what you're asking yourself:
Where ON EARTH has Katie been?

Has Waffles taken over the Townhouse?
The Blog?
The WORLD???

Well you see, there is a method to my supposed madness.  A carefully crafted master plan.

By nature, Waffles is a very simple cat. Sure, he puts on a good show, but do not be fooled. There's nothing except marshmallow fluff between those tufted ears.

He'll try anything, eat anything, play with anything.

He'll literally GO anywhere. And by GO, I mean GO in ALL it's forms and definitions.

So just in case you're questioning who's REALLY in charge here... I present to you, my Master Plan.

1. Waffles goes to conferences.
↳Katie lounges at home.

2. Waffles flies on planes.
↳Katie lounges at home.

3. Waffles sleeps in hotel rooms.
↳Katie lounges at home.

5. Waffles hangs out with vets for fun.
↳Katie lounges at home.

6. Waffles enters contests.
↳Katie wins.

Waffles Wednesday: How to Pack a Cat for #BlogPaws

KATIE:  Sheesh, Waffles. You sure don't know how to pack light, do you?

WAFFLES:  Um, Boss... a celebricat needs LOTS of cootie-mints.

KATIE:  You mean accoutrements???

WAFFLES:  That's what I said. Cootie Mints.

KATIE:  I guess Glogirly's lucky she managed to squeeze in a change of underwear. 

So in case anyone else is crazy enough to travel to Vegas with their cat, how about we tell everyone about all the stuff Glogirly schlepped around for you?

1. The Waffle Wagon

Stroller with detachable carrier for public appearances. License plate optional but awesome.

2. Sleepypod Air Carrier

The Cadillac of carriers for air travel. Comfortable, stylish and oh-so-Waffles.

3. Gigantic Suitcase

For all my mancat supplies. No girly stuff allowed.

4. Standard Sized Litter Box & Litter

Just like home, a kitty's got to feel comfortable getting down to business.

5. Portable Litter Box

A small plastic storage box with a lid, just in case of airport emergencies. Don't forget the scoop!

6. Wand Toy & Feather

Duh!

7.  And More Toys...

Catnip Tickle Pickle, Nip Nibbler Fetch Toy and the elusive Red Dot.

8. Blanket & Towels

Blanket for the cold airplane floor & towels for potential messes. Not that I'd EVER make a mess.

9. Harness & Leash

I never go out without them! 

10. Damp Pet Wipes

Just in case of an accident. I never needed them, but Glogirly insisted we have them.

11. Drinking Fountain

Sounds fancy...but it took me a long time to use my litter box and Dr. Anna, one of the vets attending BlogPaws, recommended a fountain to make me *go.*  It worked!

12. Yummy Travel Bowls

Sleepypod's 3-piece dining set to eat and drink on the road in style.

13. Calming Aids

Feliway Comfort Zone diffuser and spray. Spirit Essenses Stress Stopper. These are absolute MUST HAVES.

14. Food & Treats

Be sure to eat the same food and treats you're already used to. New stuff is fun, but familiarity is important when the world around you looks so different.

15. Lint Roller

Ok, so this isn't REALLY for me...

...and be sure to leave enough room in your suitcase for the cool stuff you'll want to bring home.

Bound for PetSafe's Paw Print Blogger Summit

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Word in the Townhouse is the Cat Sitter will be paying us a visit soon. No, not to take care of the sniffly-nosed Glogirly. Next week, our girl and her box of kleenex are flying to the Smoky Mountains. Knoxville, Tennessee to be exact.

The nice people at PetSafe have invited Glogirly to attend their second annual Paw Print Blogger Summit at their corporate headquarters in Knoxville! They even invited ME, however I need to stay home to watch over the Townhouse. And Waffles.

You might not recognize PetSafe by name...but we KNOW you'll recognize some of their awesome products. In fact, one of our most favorite that we use every single day is made by PetSafe - our Drinkwell Pagoda Fountain. We had a giveaway a few months ago for this fountain and cats across the country were falling over themselves to enter.

PetSafe specializes in pet behavior, lifestyle and containment product solutions. They cater to both cats and dogs. ...but we're not going to hold the dog-thing against them.

They also make the Come With Me Kitty leash and harness - right up Waffles' alley. They do treat and food dispensers, litter boxes, Lickety Stick treats and of course TOYS.

It's going to be an exciting four days for Glogirly and a dozen other pet bloggers. There's a variety of presentations planned about product innovation, philanthropy and shelter programs, tours, a vet school visit, doggy training (gasp!) and more. I'm pretty sure I saw dinner and cocktails on the agenda more than once and a concert too.

Glogirly's invitation was a total surprise and she's thrilled to be able to take advantage of such a wonderful opportunity. The generous people at PetSafe have taken care of everything. In addition to her all-expense-paid trip, I hear she'll be coming home with STUFF. (!)

I wouldn't be surprised if there's another cool giveaway in our future!

Q&A With The Sleepypod Pet Travel Experts

Hi everyone, Katie here.

You will not BELIEVE what the orange one has gotten us into now. Thanks to Waffles and all of his *field trips* ... he's convinced the Sleepypod Pet Carrier people that we're some kind of travel expert team.

TEAM?  Seriously. TEAM???

Surely you all know about my tumultuous relationship with the V-E-T and any sort of travel required to get me there.

Still, I AM an expert on most if not all topics. So I'll cut them some slack on this one.

The Sleepypod people have been following our blog and Waffles' escapades for some time now. They invited us to their own Pet Travel Experts Blog for an exclusive Q&A. It's an adorable blog and I hear they even host an occasional giveaway, when they're not chatting it up with celebrity cats like me.

Alone Again, Naturally

Hi everyone, Katie here.

I'm just hanging out here in the townhouse... waiting for the dreaded cat sitter to show up so I can hiss at her. Glogirly and Gloman are off to Florida for the week. I'm so sorry I have not been able to say hi and comment on your wonderful blogs, but believe me it's not MY fault. Just blame it on Glogirly. Between her swimsuit shopping and airbrush tanning she's been no help at all to me.

I have snuck a few of my favorite sports photos onto her laptop and threatened to hold the cat sitter hostage if Glogirly doesn't comply and allow me to participate in next week's Cat-O-Lympics over at Finny's place.

So please forgive my absence... remember it's GG not me...

I swear, I need my own laptop.
