Send In The Cat Clones

WAFFLES:  Hey Boss! What are THOSE??

KATIE:  What, you mean the neighbor's dogs?

WAFFLES:  They look exactly like each other! How can they tell themselves apart? How do they remember their names? What if... what if they're CLOWNS???

KATIE:  You mean, clones?

WAFFLES:  That's what I said. Clowns.

KATIE:  Clones, Waffles. Clones. Besides, there's no such thing as clones.

WAFFLES:  Are you sure? I think I read it somewhere.

KATIE:  Waffles, you can't read. Remember?

WAFFLES:  Oh yeah. But Boss, what if WE'RE clones???

KATIE:  Waffles, I don't know what scares me more. Clones, clowns or YOU.

Indie Kitty

Hi everyone, Katie here.

I'm being featured today on the IndieSmiles.com website! In fact, I'm their OFFICIAL mascot.

Indie Smiles is a place for news and notes about handmade shops, marketing & business tips, Indie shop reviews, interviews and more. Indie Smiles also features off topic articles on how handmade (Indie) teams are making a difference with their charity and community work.

Indie Smiles reporter Linda GJ and I sat down for a little one-on-one time so she could get to know me. The REAL me. You know... what makes an Indie Cat like me tick. She has just published a featurette and slideshow on the Indie Smiles website and it's all about me! Much of the content was taken directly from our exclusive interview. So of COURSE, it's fascinating.

Be sure to stop by Indiesmiles.com to check it out.

And The Oscar Goes To

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Bet you didn't know I've been keeping company with the likes of Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren... Sure, Meryl may have lost count of how many friends named Oscar she has. And Mirren, well she's an award winning Queen. Did you know Prince Charles even made her a Dame?

But it is ME that deserves an award for my convincing and moving portrayal of an affectionate cat devoted to her girl.

Just look at this scene. Now THIS is award winning acting. I'm a method actor. I'm in the zone, playing an affectionate and loving cat. I bet you can hardly tell I'm acting at all. I'm not sleeping either... I'm concentrating on the moment, and my character's thought process.

If you read that accusatory dribble Glogirly called a Guest Blog over on I Have Cat a couple weeks ago, you already know that I am a skilled manipulator of human behavior. I've got Glogirly thinking I don't like her and in fact, favor Gloman.

Well the truth is, I play Glogirly. I play Gloman.
And I love it.

Playing the two of them is what gets me up in the morning. I love making HER think that I depend upon her soley for caloric sustenance and litter box maintenance. I love making HIM think I'm a gullible and obedient dog-cat... coming when he calls, rolling over, fetching.

This is me, messing with Gloman. Pretending to be a dog.
Just another act.

Devoted BFF. Yup, just another act.

Every once in awhile I put on a show for Glogirly. I give her that devoted BFF bullfluff just to keep her guessing and maintain my sharp acting skills.

So move over, Mirren.
Step aside, Streep.
I have my acceptance speech ready.
