Thanksgiving Truce

WAFFLES:  Happy Thanksgiving, Boss! So, where's the chicken? Where's the gravy?

KATIE:  Thanksgiving was yesterday, Waffles.

WAFFLES:  You mean I missed Thanksgiving? And all the chicken and the gravy?

KATIE:  It's turkey, Waffles. And you didn't miss anything. You had like three helpings of dinner. Don't you remember? I'd say that's definitely something to be thankful for.

WAFFLES:  But that was yesterday. What about today? If I'm really thankful for chicken can I have chicken today?

KATIE:  Well, I'm thankful for my peace and solitude. Yet, here you are.

WAFFLES:  Awww... thanks, Boss. I love you too.

KATIE:  I suppose you're ok too, Waffles. Just don't tell anybody. I'll deny ever saying that.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
We hope your Thanksgiving holiday was filled with delicious food, the love of friends and family and plenty of kitty purrs and head-butts. We had a wonderful day here in the mountains. Glogirly cooked a traditional turkey dinner and we all hung out with our CatDaddy, Gloman. It was a purr-fect day.

No Black Friday shopping for us today though. That would interfere with our post-Thanksgiving nap schedule.

Whether you're a shopper or a napper, we hope you enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.

  4. Definitely no shopping here! In fact, my human plans to spend the day catching up on work and learning stuff. Maybe I'll get a training session too.

  6. When I was a kid, we had a dog that would eat anything if you told him it was chicken. So on Thanksgiving we had giant chicken! Our other dog would sit and stare at the oven while the turkey cooked. Our first cat would sit in the kitchen from the time the frozen turkey came home from the supermarket until it was served. He must have left occasionally to use the litterbox, but we never saw him go. My current cats are not so chicken/turkey crazed. The two boys will beg for it, but not necessarily eat it. The two girls do not beg for or eat any people food. Maybe Waffles should come visit! He'd end up with more than his share!

  7. We did not get turkey. We got our regular foods and in regular amounts. Today, everything is sort of normal, except maybe there was something ordered from the Jackson Galaxy site online...

  14. We were out of town for thanksgiving and had our belated meal yesterday. It's too bad you weren't closer, Waffles, or we would have given you some turkey.
