Olly Olly Oxen Cat! #WafflesWednesday

WAFFLES:  Are you ready, Boss?

Olly Olly Oxen Cheese! Come out, come out, wherever you are!

Boss?

WAFFLES:  Ok my turn, Boss!

WAFFLES:  You'll never find me!

Boss?

*crickets*

WAFFLES:  Olly Olly Oxen Cheese! Mmm... cheese.

WAFFLES:  So where's the cheese?

About Today's Photos
Play is like Waffles' oxygen. We've never known a cat to be so completely obsessed with having a good time. He tells us when it's time to get the red dot out, he decides when it's time for a game of fetch, and he will not be ignored.

He also loves making his own fun. From climbing the closet door frame, to banking off the windowsills from a full speed sprint.

He also loves hiding. Especially when he thinks no one can see him.

Katie's still got game. One of her favorites is crinkle ball floor hockey. And when she plays, Waffles is absolutely transfixed. Even a piece of chicken won't distract him.

  1. Rags is the same way. He tells me it's a ginger thing, I wouldn't understand.

  2. Crinkle balls are a big favorite around here. The only thing more popular are nip nanners

  3. Around here, sparkle balls and pipe cleaners are my hockey pucks! Or more like things to fetch. I always bring them back to my human to throw again.

  4. Pipe cleaners are really big here with Vashti, sometimes with Jonah.

  6. Of all the toys Flynn had, his most favourite was catching leaves blowing in the wind. If one happened to blow indoors that was even better.
    I love that second photo.

  9. Lucy and Ringo are the same way, and they also entertain each other. It is delightful and one of the reasons we love cats so much.

  10. We have two additional "free" toys around here: the fat straws from bubble tea, and the plastic rings (with the paper inside pulled out) from the top of an Edy's ice cream cup!

  11. Truffle and Brulee have their own unique ways of playing. I can always tell Truffle wants to play when she "slinks" up on Brulee.
