Happy Memorial Day From Katie & Waffles


Um, hi everybuddy. Waffles Too here.

The Boss put me in charge Me Oriole Day.  I had no idea there was a whole holiday devoted to an orange bird. Or that there would be a cool hat for it. But I'M orange, so it makes sense that I get to be in charge of me oriole.

KATIE:  *heavy sigh* Waffles, Waffles, Waffles.

WAFFLES TOO: Um. Boss, Boss, Boss?

KATIE: Waffles, today is MEMORIAL Day. It's a very special day devoted to remembering and honoring our loved ones. Especially those that have served in the military. Did you not READ yesterday's SPECIAL BLOG POST???

WAFFLES TOO: Um. I looked at the pictures. Does that count?

KATIE: Waffles, take off your bird hat and wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day.



WAFFLES TOO:  Um, ok. Happy Me Oriole Day everyone. Please join me and the Boss in remembering the people and cats...Um Boss? Dogs too?

KATIE:  Yes, Waffles. Dogs too.

WAFFLES TOO: Help us remember the people, cats, dogs and everyone that we have loved and lost.

KATIE:  And a very special thank you to the service men, women and animals who've dedicated their lives to protecting us.

    Loving catching up on all your posts from this week. You two have had some smashing pictures and been up to quite a bit what with fire safety and cops and robbers.

    Now Katie I need to you cover your eyes and ears here....Waffles is looking even cuter than ever, esp in that pic with the flag. Ok, Katie Boss, its safe to look again!

    Waffles, as a Baltimore born girl, it made me happy to see you with an Oriole's cap on! The real bird is so beautiful. I am not sure if you will see one outside of the Townhouse, but I assure you they deserve their own special day!As we say in Bawlmer, "Go O's!"
    And yes, let's reflect and remember those who have, and continue to, serve our country.
