Kitty Fetch With Katie & Waffles

WAFFLES:  Hey Boss! You're not playing with that fetch toy are you?

KATIE:  You mean this toy right here? Right next to me? The one my whiskers are already touching? You mean that toy?

WAFFLES:  Uh... yeah?  I mean, it's not like you're chasing it or anything.

KATIE:  Or anything? How do YOU know I'm not doing anything with this toy?

WAFFLES:  You mean THIS toy?

KATIE:  *sigh* Is NOTHING safe from your sticky pink paws?

WAFFLES:  Uh... that would be a 'no'.

Congratulations!

We're very excited to announce the lucky winners of our Googie Cat Bed Giveaway! BIG congratulations to Linda S. and her trio of furry felines - Koneko, Arata & Moko!  You guys are going to need to make reservations... or get REALLY chummy inside!

KONEKO, ARATA & MOKO

But Wait! There's More!

Glogirly made a special stop over at our favorite cat shelter, Feline Rescue, with a very special donation.  Glogirly and the Googie Man (not to be confused with the Boogie Man) donated the Googie bed we tested out here in the Townhouse. We're certain the shelter cats will enjoy LOTS of napping and playtime in this beautiful bed during what we can only hope are short stays before they find their forever homes.

Special thanks to Davies Decor for sponsoring such a fantastic giveaway and donation. And special thanks to everyone who entered. There's much more to come! So stay tuned...

Ray Charles & Sister Rachel: The Finding Home Tour

Hi everyone, Katie here.

We bet many of you have heard about Ray Charles & Sister Rachel, the two sweet brother-sister kittens looking for a special forever home together. We learned about them through our friend Brian of Brian's Home Blog.

The Power of Social Media – It Just Takes ONE
Well you know what they say about social media...you just never know who might be reading. It only takes one person in the right place at the right time to save a life. Or in this case 2 lives. That's why we are taking a time out from our usual antics to bring you the story of Ray & Rachel in hope you just might know someone, maybe even you, that has enough room in their heart and home for these two sweeties.

About Ray & Rachel

They were rescued together from a Greenville, SC trailer part where they were part of a feral cat colony. Some of the people in the park were not very kind to the innocent kitties living there. Somehow Ray & Rachel made it out alive.

Both were born with a genetic condition called Entropian, which affects the eyelids and causes them to fold inward, against the cat's eye. Thankfully both kitties had surgery to alleviate the condition.  Rachel can see perfectly fine now. She looks a little different from some other kitties, but that's just part of what makes her so special.

Ray can see, it's just hard to know how much or how clear his sight is. But he's no different than any playful, happy, energetic kitten. We've learned from our friend Homer and all the kitties of Blind Cat Rescue that you don't need your eyes to see love. Even cats that cannot see at all have no idea they're blind. They just know they're cats. They jump, they climb, they chase bugs. They're brave and fearless.

Finding Home Tour Graphics by GLOGIRLY DESIGN

A lot of wonderful people have come together to create a 'hope chest' for Ray & Rachel – gift cards, food, blankets, toys and more. There's a world of love out there for these two resilient little kitties. There's just one thing missing. A forever home.

Can you help?

• Spread the word by sharing this post on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest & Google+.

• Download the Ray & Rachel FLYER and send it to your friends and contacts via email.

• Are you a blogger? Write a blog post to help get the word out!

• Stand on your rooftop and ... well, only if you're not scared of heights.

It may take a village to get the word out, but it only takes ONE heart and home to adopt these beautiful kittens.

Photohunt: *SWANKY*

Hi everyone, Katie here.

When Glogirly told me the theme for today's photohunt was *swanky*... well, let's just say I saw this coming a mile away. Will you just LOOK at what I have to live with???

Cod grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And a padded cell with a lock.

Visit the Saturday Photohunt Blog to see upcoming themes and play along.

Speaking of SWANKY...

Congrats to SELINA from One Eye On The Future!

She's uber-lucky winner of the swanky Drinkwell Pagoda Fountain! Special thanks to PetSafe for sponsoring our giveaway!

Stay tuned, kitties...we've got a couple more PAWSOME giveaways up our furry, little sleeves.

Neko Flies Giveaway WINNER!!!

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Waffles and I want to thank all of our friends and readers for entering our cool Neko Flies Giveaway. Alas, there can be only one winner. So we (and by we I mean ME) counted up all the entries and assigned a number to each one. There were exactly 100! Then we consulted Mr. Random.org to pick a winner.

Congratulations to TUBBY!!!

Tubby's mom is known by her *katsrus* handle. We always recognize her fun comments on our blog. And we just met Tubby recently when she shared his photo on our GLOGIRLY Facebook page!

Tubby is 3 years old and LOVES to play 24/7.  He's an avid bird watcher and feather chaser. We bet he's going to LOVE his new Neko Fly!

Tubby has four furry brothers: Squeaky (21 yrs), Charlie (12 yrs), Cashew (5 yrs) & Garfield (4yrs.)

I sure hope Tubby is better at sharing than you are, Waffles!

WINNERS!

Hi everyone, Katie here.

A BIG congratulations to our friends Spitty & Speedy! They're the big winners in our PINK Friday Giveaway.

Spitty The Kitty won the coveted GLOGIRLY prize pack and his loot is already jetting it's way over to his royal castle. We're glad that Spitty isn't afraid to show his feminine side, what with how PINK the prize is. Spitty is our US/Canada winner in the random drawing.

We LOVE Spitty's hilarious blog. He always makes us MOL with his quirky wit. Visit Spitty Speaks - The Musings Of Spitty The Kitty to join the fun.

But wait! That's not all...
We also held a random drawing for our overseas friends and Speedy The Cheeky House Bunny is the lucky winner of a GLOGIRLY DESIGN holiday graphic! Speedy sent us a photo of him and we turned it into a one-of-a-kind holiday greeting.

Speedy has a wonderful blog and always lives up to his *cheeky* reputation. If you've never visited Speedy, you should hop by and wiggle your nose at him:  Speedy The Cheeky House Bunny's Blog.

Here's what we whipped up for Speedy.

If you need help with a holiday graphic of your own, just send us an EMAIL. We can design something to use on your blog or Facebook...we can even design a card that you can have printed. Waffles TOO and I are standing by.
