New Feature: TV Trips Made Better With CATS

Glogirly's been having fun lately reliving some of her favorite television shows from WAY back with a little help from me and Waffles.

She says that since there's not much worth watching on any of OUR 583 channels, we may as well return to a simpler time when growing up 'Brady' was cool and the closest thing to 'Survivor' was Gilligan's Island.

Waffles TV

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Many of you ask how Waffles and I are getting along. Or rather, if we EVER get along. Well even though it seems he's been stealing my food and sniffing my butt for ... FOREVER, it's actually been only seven months. Seven months today as a matter of fact. 

That's 210 days. Or 5,040 hours. Or 302,400 minutes. Or 18,144,000 seconds. But who's counting.

I guess it's all relative. Some TV shows don't even last a month before the network pulls their plug. Others become part of our everyday. I should know...if it weren't for Seinfeld and the Sopranos, I don't know that Glogirly and Gloman would ever be able come up with ANYTHING to say to each other.  Talk about reruns.

Back to the orange teenager– 

We've got Feliway dancing out of every electrical outlet. Glogirly rubs some Spirit Essences on me every chance she gets. And she does make a concerted effort to thwart Waffles' food thieving shenanigans. 

Still, we're not exactly frolicking through fields of nip together, grooming each other or sharing our innermost secrets. But I don't actually hate him. Things would be kind of boring around here without Waffles TV. There's drama around every corner. High energy action sequences. Slapstick comedy and toilet bowl swimming – you just can't make this stuff up. And when I've had enough, I just turn him off.

Wait....WHERE'S that on/off switch???

Photohunt: *QUAGGY*

Hi everyone, Katie here.

So, *QUAGGY*???

What in Cod's name is QUAGGY?  I had to ask Mr. Google for some help on this Photohunt theme. Turns out it means marshy. Not like marshy-mallows. Although that could be tasty. But like *soggy.*

Sadly, Glogirly was not able to capture the TRUE essence of *quaggy* on camera. But I'll share the quaggy story with you anyway.

It should come as no surprise it involves Waffles.

DATE:
Midnight, the night before Glogirly was to fly to BlogPaws.

LOCATION:
Master bath, Townhouse.

THE SCENE:
Glogirly drew a bubble bath. She added some epsom salts to relieve her tired suitcase-packing muscles. Before she could even step into the tub, Waffles decided it would be fun to DIVE into the tub.

Well, it wasn't nearly as fun once he realized he was NECK DEEP in water.

When he started to lick himself like a popsicle, Glogirly panicked at the thought of him lapping up all that salt and perfume. So she scooped him up, stuck him in the kitchen sink and proceeded to rinse him. It wasn't pretty. He squirmed, he howled, he cried like a baby.

It was better than reality TV.

MAD CAT

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Glogirly's been watching the AMC television show called Mad Men lately.  It's a drama about New York's prestigious ad agencies at the beginning of the 1960's.  It features a bunch of sour, dramatic and often boring ad executives, all impeccably dressed and coifed, against a sleek midcentury modern backdrop.

There's a special Mad Men website called 'Mad Men Yourself' that helps you build your own Mad Men avatar of your human.  You can pick their hairstyle, outfit and all the accessories.  You can even pick the background set.  Once you've built your new MadMen cartoon human, you can download it to your computer or directly to Facebook.

Mad Men characters L-R:  Peggy, Pete (he's a jerk), Joan, Glogirly, Don Draper (the star) and Roger Sterling (the only one with a sense of humor.)  That's me, the cat.

Sadly, there are no cats in MadMen.  I know.  It's an inexcusable flaw.  So Glogirly did a little Photoshop magic to put me into her set.  She also cheated and used her own cartoon face.  I swear, the girl just can't leave anything alone.  Hmmm...sounds strangely familiar...

A Commercial Break

It's Friday the 13th and we're going to take a break from your regularly scheduled Friday the 13th for an important word from... GLOMAN???

Remember when we posted our BlogPaws Contest Video ?  ...Yeah that's right, the contest the dogs won.  Well lots of you asked about the *Voice* behind the video.  You were indeed correct...it was the infamous GLOMAN. Way back in the dark ages when Glogirly and Gloman met, he was a voiceover actor.  He made radio and TV commercials.  You've maybe even heard him without knowing it.

Well Glogirly and I made video to go along with one of his old demo recordings.  Too bad these companies didn't know about ME back in the day.  I think they could have really been something.
