Waffles Wednesday: All Better Now

Hi everybuddy, Waffles here.

Thank you for all your purrs over the past few days.  I had my shots at the vet and I got really, really sore so I had to go back and get some groovy-juice from the nice vet lady. 

In case you were wondering, I'm all back to normals now.

KATIE:  Normals??? Well THAT's certainly relative.

WAFFLES:  You mean like we're relatives and all? Like brothers?

KATIE:  Yup, everything's back to normals alright. 

 WAFFLES:  YAY! I'm NORMALS!

We have some very exciting news! We're humbled and honored to have been named as finalists for Best Cat Blog and Best Blog Design in what to us are the most meaningful of all the blogging awards out there, the BlogPaws Nose-to-Nose Awards.

We're in very good company, among great friends and talented bloggers. But there's only so many slots for finalists...which means a great many of our dearest blogging friends and wonderful blogs that we follow are not on the list of finalists. We want you to know that you are ALL winners to us. We mean that, from the bottom of our hearts.

There's no voting required for these awards. Winners are selected by a panel of esteemed judges. We won't know who will bring home the trophies until the BlogPaws conference in May. But thanks to you, we feel like we're already winners.

OMC! We're Finalists in Purina's "The Friskies" !!!

This is BIG. 

This is REALLY BIG. 

Glogirly and I have just been named finalists in Purina's "The Friskies" Contest for The Best New Internet Cat Video of 2012!  We're both having a little trouble breathing right now. NO ONE is getting ANY sleep here at the townhouse with all the excitement.

We submitted a brand-new, never-before-seen, video just over a week ago. Inspired by actual events, "Katie Is ... ACCUSED" chronicles my recent brush with the law over allegations of Shoelace Tampering.  It stars me and a whole host of my anipals from around the blogosphere. In the coming days we'll be featuring my costars and some behind-the-scenes exclusives in a series of very blog posts.

According to the Friskies Facebook Page, 1,414 videos were submitted.  The judges had to narrow it down to only 12 finalists.  And they picked ME!!!

Now it's up to YOU!  The public vote is officially underway and we need your help BIG TIME. Voting runs through November 9 and it's only one vote per email address. Please tell your friends, your family, your readers...heck, you can even tell your UPS man and your Vet!  We SO want to win the golden kitty statuette. Oh, and there's some pretty substantial scratch at stake too. And we're not talkin' about the kind you need a cat post for.

What's more, every vote, like or share of any video at Purina's Friskies Facebook Page will trigger a donation of 5 cans of Friskies to one of 25 cat charity partners across the nation, up to 250,000 cans!
