California Closet Cats

WAFFLES:  Hey Boss, did you know our closet is going to California today? Our litter box too. That's going to be a really long walk when we have to, you know...go. 


KATIE:  Waffles, our closet isn't going to California. California is coming to our closet. Glogirly is having California Closets install customized cabinets today. There's even going to be a special spot devoted to our litterboxes. 


WAFFLES:  I don't know, Boss. California is pretty big. I don't think it's going to fit in here.



KATIE:  Waffles, you don't get it. The state of California is not moving into our closet. California has nothing to do with our closet other than the name, California Closets.


WAFFLES:  Well that doesn't make any sense, Boss. They should call it Colorado Closets. At least then we wouldn't have to worry about any closet earthquakes.


About Today's Photos
Glogirly has been counting the days ever since we arrived in Colorado almost two months ago. One of the first places she called the moment we moved in was California Closets. She and Gloman had a customized closet designed by them in our Minneapolis townhouse and they loved it so much, they knew right away that was something they wanted to add into our new Colorado home.

California Closets loaned her some temporary rolling racks to hang her clothes on until the big installation day. She's had to keep her underwear a shoebox and her shoes and boots (all 42 pair of them) in giant plastic bins that look strikingly like litterboxes. Not a very smart storage strategy if you ask us.

So today is a VERY exciting day. Actually tomorrow too. The installation will take two days.

    I have a Rubbermaid system in my small, not walk in closet and I love the ease and convenience of it. I'm sure this is going to be amazing

    I'd love to see the after! I want to do my closets here. I have closet maid self installed custom, but want to go to the next level. Can't wait to see the finished product. And Waffles. I love me my Waffly Ginger Menace!

    Wow, it looks like you have a HUGE closet! My human is envious because her bedroom closet is tiny, and not even California Closets can fix that.

    I understand your confusion Waffles. But can't wait to see how they arrange your special kitty box and not have the scent infiltrate your mama's clothes. Your mama and cat daddy are so smart; I'm sure they have a purrfect plan in mind.

    Silly question, of course we want to see after pictures. Mum has built in in her closet, but the previous owners did that, she adapted to using them like they are.

    Hell YES we would LOVE to see the "after" pictures!! I have often thought about using them for our bedroom closet but I was wondering if our closet isn't big enough. It is a walk-in, but I don't think it is as big as yours. catchatwithcarenandcody

    We want to see the AFTER pictures! Z-girl is doing all sorts of re-working of what items go into which closet and getting organized, so she's looking for inspiration! Thank goodness your closets aren't moving Waffles! California is beautiful, but too far for Colorado cats to go,to you know, GO...

    Are you sure? ARE YOU SURE? 'Cause I mean, if the State of California ISN'T comin' to your closet, how come it's called a California Closet? Names can be VERY IMPORTANT you know. I think Waffles might be right. MOUSES!

    We would love to see the after-pictures, especially the 42 pairs of shoes and boots ! Claire tends to be a minimalist, and we think seriously that she may have had 42 pairs of shoes in her whole life, but never at the same time, MOL ! Purrs

    The humans have one room here that has California closet-type cabinets, drawers and hanging area. We can't hide in them as well as the regular closet. Of course we want to see the after pics!
