WAFFLES: Did you like my valentine, Boss?
KATIE: What valentine? You didn't give me a valentine.
WAFFLES: Yeah I did. You know, the heart shaped box of chicken treats.
KATIE: What heart shaped box of chicken treats?
WAFFLES: You didn't get any?
KATIE: I think I'd remember a heart shaped box of chicken treats.
WAFFLES: Well maybe you just forgot.
KATIE: Waffles, you should know by now that I never forget.
WAFFLES: Like I said, Waffles. I never forget.
About Today's Blog Post
Today's Valentines post originally appeared last year on February 14. It still makes us giggle so we thought we'd share it with you again.
Since our big move to the mountains, Katie and Waffles have been showing more and more signs of tolerating each other and at times even, dare we say, liking each other.
Nothing as dramatic as what Valentines Day might imply, but for Katie and Waffles, an altercation-free day with no patty cake paws at mealtime is nothing short of amazing.
We hope you had a Happy Valentines Day filled with lots of kitty love and mealtime bliss.

No patty-cake paws sounds like a good Valentine's Day to us, too.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great one.
XOXO
I'm glad they are settling in. That is so wonderful to hear
ReplyDeleteWaffles, we are sorry Katie did not get you a valentine.Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that Valentine's Day was, at least, peaceful!
ReplyDeleteWow! No patty cake or alterations! Hope y'all had a great day too.
ReplyDeleteGlad they are enjoying your new home.

Katie, you look gorgeous in that new diamond necklace. WOW, it's a heart stopper for sure. And Waggles, you look mighty fashtionable in that new warm, wool coat you have one. YOu both are surely going to set a new fashion trend for those cowgirl and cowboy kitties in Colorado.
ReplyDeleteI hope the change of scene will help their relationship. The bromance continues here!

Maggie, Mickey Mouser and Rufus the Red
it is funny that sometimes a dramatic change can make a difference in relations (though probably only until Waffles steals another meal from Katie)
ReplyDeleteI suspect they are each still claiming territory at the new place. Interesting. But yes, moves do make for strange bedfellows. Ichiro was nice to us when we moved...
ReplyDeleteYou look quite debonaire in that tweed coat, Waffles!
ReplyDeleteKatie, Cam loves your gen-you-ine diamond necklace!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
Dear Waffles,
ReplyDeleteWHen you outgrow your clothing, I would like to purchase them. Acertain orange tabby would like to have them.I thinks you are the bomb with that long tail. I have no tail. Yours is magnificat.
Love Dae dae, your biggest fan.
They might get along better since they both moved in at the same time. The townhouse was Katie's long before it was Katie AND Waffles. I think Waffles needs a larger size coat. MOL!
ReplyDeleteIt is the unknown they are sharing. The two of them against all this new stuff.
ReplyDeleteSmell Waffles breath. Bet it smells like chicken
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
Waffles is no longer an intruder in to her territory, but a companion animal that she knows and is used to in an unfamiliar land. It makes sense they would get along a little better
ReplyDeleteThis move could have more benefits that you ever expected!
ReplyDeleteI love you guys! And I know deep down you love each other ❤
