That New Rug Smell

WAFFLES:  Hey Boss, nice scratcher, huh?

KATIE: As tempting as it is, I'm pretty sure we're not supposed to scratch this.

WAFFLES:  But it's got that new rug smell.

KATIE:  Well if nobody's looking, what harm is a little scratch?

WAFFLES:  Go for it, Boss!

KATIE:  I can always blame the carnage it on you.

WAFFLES:  Hey, wait a minute.

About Today's Photos
The new living room rug and rug pad arrived Saturday. We didn't know the man in purple shorts worked on the weekends, but because of the big snow on Thursday and Friday, our delivery was delayed. Our super-steep, super-snowy driveway is not for the faint of heart. You've got to love a Fed Ex man who trades in his van for a four-wheel drive Jeep.

  1. Putting your mark on a new rug sounds like purrfect work for a Monday morning.
If you need reinforcements, just let us know. LOL
    Have a great week!

  2. Wow, that's service! I agree about the scratchability.

  3. It looks good to me. I think it should be a "keeper."

  4. we have a feeling that driveway is going to end up giving Glogirly heartburn. :)

  5. I'd scratch it until it smelled like me. After all, that's a much better smell than new rugs...

  6. We don't see a thing Katie.

  7. That's the biggest scratcher we've ever seen ! Purrs

  8. Katie is finally getting it ... having an adventuresome and annoying younger brother has its advantages ;)

  9. You're learning about life in the mountains quite quickly!

  10. New rugs? Time to break them in!!!

  11. New rug must be christened. Who will yak on it first?

  12. Definitely wouldn't recommend shredding the padding. Glogirly would definitely not be happy.

Thank you so much for your comment. We LOVE hearing from you!
