The Kitty Paw Doorstop: Waffles' Powder Room Obsession Solved

WAFFLES:  Hellooooooooo! Is anybody there? Anybody?

KATIE:  Waffles, you're not locking yourself in the powder room again, are you?

WAFFLES:  Is that wrong?

KATIE:  What's with this whole powder room obsession?  Do you realize you locked yourself in there five times last night?

WAFFLES:  Yeah, but Glogirly came and got me out and stuff.

KATIE:  And what are you going to do if she's not here?

WAFFLES:  You mean like at the grocery store not here? Or the post office not here?

KATIE:  Well if you're ok with enjoying a few HOURS of private time, don't let me stop you.

WAFFLES:  You mean like private time with you?

KATIE:  Yeah, that's not going to happen.

PROBLEM: Waffles' Powder Room Obsession
SOLUTION: Here Kitty Cat Paw Doorstop
When we stumbled upon this kitty paw doorstop on Amazon the other day, it was like the skies parted and someone cued the choral music. Finally. The answer to Glogirly's prayers. Or at least something to keep her from having to rescue Waffles from the powder room a dozen times a day.

LOVE!
Isn't it adorable? We love it so much we just had to tell you about it. This isn't an official product review or anything. Just something we found that we thought you'd like as much as we do.

It's double sided so you can use it jellybean toe side up or down. The grippy rubber material works great on hardwoods, carpeting and tile. We have all three here so we were able to do a thorough grip test.

Smiles
Best of all, it makes Glogirly giggle. And if something as simple as a doorstop can make you smile, that's a pretty great day.

  1. That is very funny. I might have to think about one. When the winds blow the bedroom door slams shut. The Farm cats sleep in the drawers under the bed. Although they CAN get out if they want by hopping on their wave, jumping on the wall and coming down on the refrigerator.

  2. That is awesome! The inventor must have a Waffles in their life.

  3. hee hee, that's too cute! Silly Waffles! Can't bear an open door huh? And to think, most kitties can't stand a closed one!

  4. That's pawsome! Wonder if Waffles will find a new obsession........

  5. I would probably think it's one of my cats paw sticking out because Oliver does like to paw under doors but this is so cool!! Five times Waffles?! Really? You are such a brat and Katie looks like she means business with you! Good thing Glogirly found that item because I don't think Katie would help you out.

  6. That's awesome! I may have to order one. While we don't have the locking yourself in the powder room problem here, our powder room door closes on its own unless I put a doorstop under it. Since the girls both hate closed doors, I have to prop it open or there'll be non stop pawing at the door until I open it again. This one is so much cuter than the utilitarian model we currently have!

  7. That is a great doorstop. I just checked Amazon UK to see if it was available here, and can you believe it is all but £28. That is around $42 and only $12 in the US!!!

  8. OMC! We need that...well, Ernie does because like Waffles, he has a thing about closing doors.

  10. We're glad you found something to keep Waffles from trapping himself all the time, but we bet part of the fun was that Glogirly came to rescue him all the time. MOL.

  11. My goodness, I love this post. Between the shots of Waffles peeping into the room and that adorable doorstop, I couldn't stop smiling. I'm glad you found something to rescue Waffles from the powder room (although I can't really blame the handsome boy for wanting to look at himself so often). Purrs!

  14. How cute! What a great and cost-effective way of keep Waf from locking himself in the bathroom. :)

  15. Oh we might have to get one because closing doors on himself is an Ichiro thing too... And the regular doorstops are all too low or don't grip on the tile.

  16. That is so adorable and giggle-worthy and fabulous!

  17. Now that is a neat idea! Wonder how Waffles will feel about it, though. :)
