Hi everyone, Katie here.
So, *QUAGGY*???
What in Cod's name is QUAGGY? I had to ask Mr. Google for some help on this Photohunt theme. Turns out it means marshy. Not like marshy-mallows. Although that could be tasty. But like *soggy.*
Sadly, Glogirly was not able to capture the TRUE essence of *quaggy* on camera. But I'll share the quaggy story with you anyway.
It should come as no surprise it involves Waffles.
DATE:
Midnight, the night before Glogirly was to fly to BlogPaws.
LOCATION:
Master bath, Townhouse.
THE SCENE:
Glogirly drew a bubble bath. She added some epsom salts to relieve her tired suitcase-packing muscles. Before she could even step into the tub, Waffles decided it would be fun to DIVE into the tub.
Well, it wasn't nearly as fun once he realized he was NECK DEEP in water.
When he started to lick himself like a popsicle, Glogirly panicked at the thought of him lapping up all that salt and perfume. So she scooped him up, stuck him in the kitchen sink and proceeded to rinse him. It wasn't pretty. He squirmed, he howled, he cried like a baby.
It was better than reality TV. |
Ha ha ha!!! that should be a lesson to him! even though we doubt that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh! :-) One of mine did that with a mop bucket, so I understand the panic and need for an immediate rinse, rather than taking advantage of what was probably a hilarious photo op.
ReplyDeleteYou better not have enjoyed that TOO much, Katie darling. Katma will get you, you know.
ReplyDeleteWaffles is half fish?
ReplyDeleteWow, there's nothing worse than soggy Waffles... ;)
ReplyDeleteHaHaMeow! That is a great "quaggy" story! We couldn't wait to see what you had for this photo hunt Saturday and you didn't disappoint!
ReplyDeleteHe thought he was a teabag and he was trying to make Ginger ale???
ReplyDeleteDex
Hmmm I don't think I've heard that word before!
ReplyDeleteOh, Waffles. You are good for a funny reality tv program! Hey, Katie, think of becoming his "manager"? There's lots of cat toys and food you could earn....
ReplyDeleteWell chances are you won't see it again - but keep it in your minds eye and every chance you get remind him of the incident - he might show a little humility
ReplyDeletehehehehe.....hehehehehe silly Waffles!
ReplyDeleteA creative attempt at 'quaggy'. Seems like I was not the only Photo Hunter who had to look up what it meant! ;b
ReplyDeleteOh, it would have been perfect to snap some pictures of a quaggy Waffles. Silly boy!
ReplyDeleteLOL Katie I bet you laughed yourself sick when Waffles had to have another bath. So funny. Have a super Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Oh Katie - I'll bet you took delight in watching Waffles get his bath. he he - Even I'm giggling over that one. M only had to give her 1st kitty a bath one rime - it wasn't prettty like you said. her other kitties never had to go thru that torture. We bet Waffles will stay out of the bathtub forever now.
ReplyDeleteDidn't it just make your heart sing when that happened? ;)
ReplyDeleteMOL! That's great tv!!! Bet Waffles never does that again, unfortunately! Maybe he'll have more respect for The Boss now. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe'll bet Waffles never jumps in the tub again! The first day our woofies were here, they ran around the pool like crazydogs. Clifford fell in! He never did it again!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
Hilarious! Waffles obviously had no idea what was under those bubbles. We're glad he didn't get sick from it, though.
ReplyDeleteThat reminds us of the time Charybdis dove into the bubble bath with Mommy, She went under the bubbles and like to drown before Mommy could find her.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny! Katie, you've been waiting for Waffles Too to get his after all the stupid stuff he's pulled. Well, that was a good one!
ReplyDeleteMOL! Poor Waffles had to have a bath. Katie must have loved that... though Glogirly not so much. When Newton was a kitten, he was sick enough that he couldn't keep himself clean and required quite a few baths, and we remember how hard it is to wash a young ginger cat who prefers not to do his own bathing. Maybe Waffles learned a lesson about going for a swim?
ReplyDeleteGreat visual ;)
ReplyDeleteWaffles, you'll be a star on tv. You're so funny without even trying. Haha! I get a bath every week and loving it.
ReplyDeletePoor Waffles getting all wet like that! When I was a kitten I accidentally jumped into the toilet - luckily it was clean at the time!
ReplyDeletePurrrrrrrrrrrrs, China Cat
That must have been a gratifying moment, Katie!
ReplyDeleteMOL!! That sure must have been a sight to see! Purrs from the Zee and Zoey gang!
ReplyDeleteKatie where was the video?
ReplyDeleteOh my that would have been a super video. MOL
Great Waffles...you smell like a girl now :)
ReplyDeleteI bet it took Waffles a week to get that Glogirly smell off him!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, poor Waffles! We're all giggling over here, though, and you must've been, too, Katie! Poor GloGirly, though, having to give him a second bath. Good one for the theme!
ReplyDeleteOh too funny Katie! That Waffles is silly kitty, MOL!
ReplyDeleteSasha, Sami, & Saku
Love hearing that story!!! I adore Waffles expression in that photo above....he definitely marches to his own drummer doesn't he?
ReplyDeleteOh Waffles! We hope you've learned your lesson about jumping into bathtubs. Though there's one big-footed cat around here who has not! :)
ReplyDeleteHAH! I love it when the villain gets his comeuppance whatever that means. hell, I didn't even know if it was one word or two until I got that squiggly red line under it.
ReplyDeleteI bet that was better than reality TV. LOL.

WW II is so cute in the tub with his toy, and that is a great story. Almost reminds us of when one of us will run and jump onto the toilet seat but overshoot and end in the bowl of water. MOL. At least we're not covered in salt and perfume. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette. IF YOU TRIED TO COMMENT ON OUR POST "PAYBACK FOILDED" AND COULDN'T DUE TO THE CAPTCHA CODE, MOM HAS REMOVED THE CAPTCHA REQUIREMENT! ReplyDeleteAllie: ooooh, I do hope you had some kibble nearby? There's absolutely nothing like dinner and a show.
ReplyDeleteTo bad there is no photo on this !
ReplyDeleteI´m pretty sure it was better than reality TV *mol*
BOL can't help but laugh! Poor Waffles
