Hi everyone, Katie here.
I know, I know...Glogirly is and will always be my 'Girl.' But today, she's the closest thning I have to a mom. This one's for you, GG.
Many of you were following along as I told the story of Glogirly's search for her birth family. But if you're new here and would like a good Mother's Day read...you'll want to check out Another Mother.
Here's all you'll need:
1. comfy chair
2. pot of tea
3. box of kleenex
4. at least one cat
Everyone has a mother and everyone is like a mother to someone.

Glogirly - Like a good book, I hate to put it down, but had to stop at Chapter 5. I will return to finish reading later, as I am so intrigued by your story. Just wanted to tell you how touched I am at what you have shared and wish you a Happy Mother's Day!

ReplyDeleteOh glogirly! We is all 'moe-shunally 'zawsted now from reading the WHOLE story from the Prologue right through the Epilogue all in one sitting. It is a 'mazing story!
ReplyDeleteWe think it will make the most wonderful book and we think "Another Mother" is a great title! Your mom and dad really did the best job ever of raising such a great girl, and we is glad you were able to find so much of Alice's family too.
We love Dorothy so much the Human want to drive right down to Sunnyvale and give her a big hug (don't worry though--she won't!!!)

P.S. Also, we is SHOCKED that glogirly is almost (shhhhhhh) 50! We were thinking from her writing and her pictures that she was maybe 30!!! She looks FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteWe loved reading the whole tale (confession: Mommy read it to us a few weeks ago when she stumbled upon it! We thought the whole story was fab, especially the part about the family reunion and meeting all her new/old relatives!!).
ReplyDeleteWe're just catching up after mommy spent all weekend doing social media for Wayside for their annual fundraiser. She was so tweeted & facebooked out by 11 PM Sat that she didn't' even turn the 'puter on yesterday. Since it was Mother's Day, we gave her a pass - that once.
