Hi everyone, Katie here.
The fine cats over at What's New Pussycat?, the UK blog sponsored by SureFlap, invited me to be a guest blogger for them. Obviously I put Glogirly right on it.
If you're wondering what SureFlap is, it's that kitty pet door thing that opens only for pets with a matching microchip imbedded in them. You can read all about it HERE on their blog. I have to admit, I'm liking the idea of keeping intruders out. I just have a few questions.
- Can it keep out the cat sitter, the UPS man and the neighbor that smells of DOG?
- What if I just want to be alone. Can I keep out Glogirly and Gloman?
- How attracting desirable intruders? Say, a squirrel or rabbit?
You can read my guest blog over at the What's New Pussycat? blog by clicking HERE. I've written an account of a harrowing incident that occurred right here in the townhouse. I wrote about it long ago, when I had about two furriends following my blog. So I had my girl dust it off (literally) and send it to SureFlap.
IT'S CALLED -
Kitties, I must warn you. It contains graphic images and language that may not be suitable for young kittens.
This post is just too too funny.ReplyDelete
Katie, what privations you had to suffer. My heart goes out to you!!! I mean how could Gloman laugh inappropriately like that. It should have been appropriate laughter at the very least *sniggers behind hand, appropriately*ReplyDelete
Very VERY funny post :D
Austin still won't use his catflap, though Tigger does, but he is getting too fat!!
Dear Katie! Now that was appalling! Kitter boxes is sacred!ReplyDelete
You only have one litter box in a multi-lvel townhouse? That's unethical! I have 2 and we only have 1100 sq ft.ReplyDelete
Ok, theese ones are all great questions about SureFlap! We had read your post before about the shower caddy and must say Katie you are such a good girl to have done that balancing act!ReplyDelete
Oh my word, you are too muchReplyDelete
Benny & Lily
I actually remember that post!ReplyDelete
We remember that one too! Hahaha!!ReplyDelete
Iiieeee! Into you litter box!!!ReplyDelete
Regarding the Sure Flap, we suggest you embed chips into Glogirly & Gloman so you can program when you want the flap to keep them in ans when you want to deny entrance. The world then is in your own little paw!
The moms just don't know when it's appropriate to laugh, do they?ReplyDelete
Truffle and Brulee
Hysterical! You are just too funny, Katie. :)ReplyDelete
Katie, Is it WRONG that we laughed ourselves sick? I think it might be, but I just can't help myself.ReplyDelete
We're sorry, Katie, but that is just too hee-larry-us!ReplyDelete
MOL, you do make us laugh!ReplyDelete
Aw poor kitty! Are you still traumatized? Did they remove or secure that caddy?ReplyDelete
I'm curious about this special stuff.ReplyDelete
You are so funny sweet doll!
Luna - WE LOVE LUNA
A cat flap is so practical ! My cats go in and out just like they want to !ReplyDelete
Hi Katie, nice to meet you. First off we want to apologize for our human who is laughing hysterically after reading about your ordeal. We kitties under your dilemma completely and hope the trauma and subsequent nightmares about the incident have passed. We also assume the offending shower caddy has been removed.ReplyDelete
We like the idea of the Sure Flap. On question #3, do you suppose we could get extra chips to imbed in mice?
Cindi Lou and The Kitty Krew
All us hoomans here at SureFlap Head Office found this story hysterical!! We felt Katie's pain though of course, ahem...ReplyDelete
We are so sorry for laughing, Katie. That was just about the funniest cat and litter box adventure we've ever read. We are thankful you weren't in the litter box when the caddy came crashing down, though.ReplyDelete
Ya just gotta hate it when things like that happen!ReplyDelete
If the answers to all of your questions about the SureFlap are yes, then we'll put an order in!ReplyDelete
The Sureflap door sounds really cool...no other cats or raccoons or anyone...could follow a cat home...ReplyDelete
We are off to read your story now!
the critters in The Cottage xo
OH MY DOG! I gotta go read that!!!!ReplyDelete
I feel so privileged to be here!!!ReplyDelete
Thank you so so very much for your visit!! Thank you for your follow to!!!! We have just one old very very old very very LOVED cat. Her name is Happy and for the 14 and a half years she has lived with us she has been very happy. She just showed up one day and said she was going to live with us and of course she was invited in. We took her to the vets and the vet said she was 5 to 7 years old and she was spayed but that she had had a bunch of kittens in her day! So that makes her 19 to 21 years old and she is still happy with her decision!!!!
This takes cat flaps to another level of safety but still too risky for most Americans. Makes for a funny story though...ReplyDelete
Hahaha! I love love love your shower caddy terror story!ReplyDelete
