The Good, The Bad, And Ben Stiller

Hi everyone, Katie here.

My girl is back in town and we've had a chance to review some of the most talked about Oscar fashions. Thankfully no one was dressed up like a bird this year, but OMC what was Ben Stiller THINKING??! Holy Cat! Why he didn't go with a classic black and white tuxedo look is beyond me. He really should have called me before he got dressed.

Let's move on to the girls. My rating system is pretty easy.
1 to 5 Paws. 5 is the best and 1 is just a hair above Ben Stiller's Avatar get-up.

SANDRA BULLOCK

Beautiful. Elegant. Sparkly.
A true winner
My highest score.
Five Paws.

ZOE SALDANA

This dress scares me almost as much as Gloman's puffy hair when he doesn't put any pomade in it. I think the skirt on that thing could eat me right up and you'd never hear from me again.
One Paw.

DIANE KRUGER

Miss Inglorious Bastards gets style points for attempting to replicate my classic black & white look. Even Coco Chanel herself was no Katie though.
Three Paws.

NICOLE RICHIE

Nicole Richie? And who on earth invited HER to the Oscars? I thought you had to be an actual ACTRESS or at least someone with TALENT. Oh that's right, it takes a lot of talent to be a socialite. The dress looks like a 70's caftan. Blech.
One Paw.

  2. Well Katie, I totally agree with you.
Sandra Bullock is fabulous and chic, paws up for sure.
Ben Stiller...hmmm can we forget for a while, what a nightmare!

Ahh Diane...I'm really her fan!But wait...mommy here is saying something:"But what a deception about that dress. She is fat!"
I know it's a little bit exaggeration.Okay mommy Léia, you don't need to say it of Diane, she is so cute...
Hey Katie, please forgive mommy's mood here...you know...she is dealing about her "diet", sometimes she has that "cRAzy" stare look...as..."I will go for the refrigerator right now"!Fortunately she is easygoing nowadays. LOL
    Great post!

  3. I didn't get to see the Oscars, as I was working, but I do like the bodice on Zoe Saldana's gown. The bottom doesn't look too great, though.

  4. We loved Sandra too - but was a little scared of her red, red, red lipstick!

  7. We didn't watch the Oscars (our human hasn't seen any of the movies anyway), but we did look at some of the red carpet photos. We give 5 paws to Sandra Bullock too. Very classy.

  8. We agree with you that Sandra Bullock looked very elegant. There werea lot of beautiful dresses there, but a lot of frights too.

  9. I think the fact that I left my fur on George Clooney's tux elevated his status to a new level.

I agree with your paw ratings Katie!

  11. You'd be the best look there, Katie! It's hard to beat classic. Sandra Bullock was great, except for that bright lipstick...a bit of a misstep there, we think.

  13. Hi Katie!
We thought Sandra was dressed to WIN IT and did! Yay we like Sandra a lot and loved THE BLIND SIDE! We thought most of the women were dressed kinda so-so, I mean I have more style and I'm a cat! We did like Helen Mirren, she looked fab and she's a real dame! We also thought Penelope looked nice and Demi Moore's dress was beautiful! But ugh what were some of those women thinking? Sorry but we didn't like J-Lo's dress and there was another actress who had on a dress that looked nearly identical (boy was that embarrassin?) which we didn't care for either..

All I can say is ....
    poor Ben.

  19. Hi Katie, we are going to be honest - the most we saw of the Oscars and their fashios is what you posted here! Our mom isn't in to that kind of stuff. But she does agree with you - why was Nicole Richie there - nothing against her or anything, but she isn't an actress.

  23. Sandra Bullock looked wonderful. Did you read that she said she couldn't wait for it to be over so she could EAT! Mom said too many actresses looked furry skinny.

Mom says she liked Kathryn Bigelow's dress, too, but Mom really wondered what Charlize Theron was thinking...

  32. Loved this post! Don't know why it took me so long to find it! I'm not sure Nicole should have even gotten 1 paw! It was cute that it looked like you were playing with the layers on the Avatar woman's dress! hehe!

  33. Katie, you put your paw right on target with your fashion commentary! Zoe's dress kinda reminds us of a sea urchin! And Nicole looks like she's wearing a shower curtain. Sandra, well she looks like a real movie star!
